Really don't think that is much of an exaggeration. Martial is a quality player already with massive potential. Rashford is a young talented player but he's not really that special, just another Walcott, which obviously would still mean a very good Premier League career, but he's not going to be a world star.

I’d say more of a realist ;) the two Manchester clubs are nailed on for qualification, the other two spots have 4 pretty equal teams vying for them, so it’s definitely up in the air. I agree though, this rough period doesn’t mean much. Every team has them, even title winners go through at least a couple a season. You can easily come back from a few bad results, especially in October.

What’s Mourinho been saying? I don’t listen to him much these days. I think he’s gone a bit weird. All his antics used to feel calculated and like there was thought behind them, these days he just seems a bit all over the place. Last year he was couped up like a hermit in a Manchester hotel, scowling at everyone and now he’s flirting with PSG in October because they can spend 200 Million Euro’s on Neymar  hopefully the love him or hate him Mourinho returns one day and the caricature version gets retired.

Ozil to Manchester United on the cards? Obviously just speculation right now but I would move too if I was in his place.

It would cause a selection headache in that part of the pitch but I like that possibility.

Don't see much value in Ozil. Please remain as speculation.

United are being found out today.

Caricature versions are so much fun though. Look at uncle Al Pacino in Scarface.

Agree on Ozil, a top wide player would be a far better option (probably at half the wages too!).

Oh yeah Mourinho can never be your standard manager, love him or hate him, nobody wants to see that. I think the way he did things and wound people up 5-10 years ago had much more of an impact though. The way he goes about it these days has people not even listening, much less reacting in a way that benefits him and his teams. Hopefully he gets back to his old ways.

Linked with Perisic all summer. Bids made so United are definitely after a winger.

Paul Merson says Jose Mourinho is looking very bitter at the minute. United seem to be dominating the game, but they are not getting any shots on goal. :/

@Doctor/Lawyer Red Devil This is all your fault! Your lack of faith somehow spread to the United performance. Yes, I'm now a believer in the supernatural and Jinx. Nah, just think it is funny how it worked out.

Rashford makes it 2-1. Come on.

What a bunch of useless morons. All of them.

I told you, hand the title to City.

It's a long season! I think City will have a couple of down periods, playing the way they do is going to be tough to keep going for an entire season. When the games start to come thick and fast when the international nonsense finishes, the weather turns, teams learn how to handle them a bit better etc..

They're still red hot favourites and it's going to take an enormous effort from a team to keep pace and take advantage of the slip ups, but it's doable. Man Utd can do it, Spurs can also (if they get to grips with the whole Wembley thing).

I hope City are not 15 points ahead when their down period comes.

Jose being very magnanimous after the game. Huddersfield wanted it more, the best team won. etc. I remember when he said the best team didn't win when Real knocked out United. Surely he couldn't be flirting with Huddersfield. :p

Boy did the guys stink today. Injuries are starting to pile up, not good.

City will have a slump of their own no doubt. But you got to give them the clear advantage at this point.

    Mbappe for european golden boy.

Lol I sent that picture to my mate. He was at the game and is not amused. Yeah, you have to expect a beating eventually. Just couldn't imagine it being at Huddersfield. It was only the other night when Stevie G of all people was defending United and their tactics against Liverpool. They also talked about matches like this being the matches they couldn't afford to drop points. It escalated quickly with defeat at Huddersfield.

3 shots on target today. :/

Expected a more convincing win over last placed Malaga, Deulofeu's first goal for the club shouldn't have counted. Oh well. Got to do better in the next La Liga game when we visit Bilbao.

Valencia with some very good form, especially in front of goal. Only one less goal scored than us. Took a point at home against Atletico and away against Real. Got to watch out for them.

A slump for them means their goal differential drops from 8:1 to 4:1? I'd take that slump!

It’s going to be interesting to see how it plays out. They’re playing like ‘09 Barcelona, but is that sustainable in England? Can it be done when it’s -5 degrees and the rain is coming down sideways? When sides get past the sheer awe of it and start hacking at them? That’s not going to happen in Spain, but embarrassing a journeyman English squad player is going to have consequences.

I still think they’ll win the title, but it’s not going to be as easy as it’s been so far imo.
