Shocking that none of them have been booked while we already got three, with two of the guys now suspended for the second leg. Shaw and McTominay. Better hit the gas now before their sh1thousery can take over the game.

Maguire out too. Luckily a late Bruno penalty gives a cushion going to Old Trafford.

Roma with one foot in the semifinal too, coming from behind to beat Ajax.

Manchester not holding back against our league teams apparently. First Sociedad, now Granada. Maybe Villarreal in the final? I love seeing different names in the Europa every year, the other continental competition has looked more like some exclusive club of sorts in the most recent times.

Slavia Prague had great showings when they landed in the Champions League group of death last season, most notably earning a point at Camp Nou in a pretty even game. Not too surprised they did well tonight. Second leg perfectly set up and has plenty of potential. As long as Arsenal don't score early there...

Thank God/Moyes Sevilla isn't around

I would have remembered that stormy evening in Madrid fondly, if only Ilaix hit it a little lower in the last minute... :( Great chance gone to waste as even a draw would have been a good result. Who knows if there will be more twists to this but Real suddenly have the upper hand in the title race. With most 50-50 decisions going their way as always it's going to be tough beating them to La Liga now.

Definitely one of better El Clasicos in recent seasons. Barca unlucky there in the end but Real were all over them in the first half and could have ended the game early.

Can't see Real not slipping up in one of the next games though. Especially as they now suddenly found themselves in serious contention for Champions League.

Anyone from the top 3 can slip but Madrid seems to be hitting form in a perfect time (yet again). Haven't seen the match but looks like Nacho and Militao work well together(high performance scores from Eurosport)...promising stuff before the summer re-build (hopefully).

Not a fan of Ole's mumble rapping. I don't know how many times I am comfortable hearing the same line. Winning a trophy can mask lousy club culture or whatever the hell. Heard ya the first 50 time, mate.

But anyway, revenge against Spurs on the menu today.

Newcastle took a nice step to stay up with their 2-1 victory over Burnley. They are six points clear of Fulham with a game in hand.

Hammer time is early and has a Lingard beat to it, 1-nil after 30 minutes vs Leicester.

It's amazing.

Have to wonder what David Moyes is feeding him there. haha I don't know what I was expecting from his loan. Maybe a goal involvement here and there. Instead, he was set on fire. Doing his best to make up for the lost time.
His second today was all set up for a tap in by a savvy pass from Bowen. Now 3-nil thanks to a ice hockey assist from Lingard to Soucek to Bowen. They are doing all this today without Antonio.

Oh, comeback on for Leicester.

Another frustrating team selection. Pogba Pogba running down the wing. It doesn't have a ring to it, does it? But yet, here we are again.

No frustration now, ladies and gentlemen. Yes, I absolutely did fancy Greenwood there and he makes no mistake. Turned it on in the second half for sure.

Playing a decent song this time. (y)

Wanted revenge for 1-6 earlier in the season so that was sweet. As I might have said earlier, I expect a comfortable second place. Shame that our drop in form coincided with City's long winning run but given little activity from our part during the summer this is alright.

How frustrating is this? United finally putting a bit of lovely play together while Son cons the system like a pro.
I've got a love/hate relationship with Son. He's a top player, but an absolute **** and people let him get away with it.

He's always pulling tricks like that. He's basically Suarez, without the biting. I remember him trying to get Rudiger sent off 18 months ago, only for it not to work and he kicked out and got himself sent off instead. The Spurs fans, who believe butter wouldn't melt when it comes to Son, then proceeded to make monkey chants towards Rudiger. That's Son for you. Pleased he wasn't on the winning side today, and pleased for Cavani too. Top centre forward play is rare these days, it's so good to watch the masters at it.

West Brom backs up the offensive explosion in their big Chelsea upset with a 3-nil win over visiting Southampton. Could this be the beginning of another Allardyce miracle to avoid relegation for a third team?

Definitely one of those believe it when we see it moments. I'm hearing Ole's stock is rising, everybody at United is impressed with his work. The point is, this backing will make sure that they get the business done for him in the summer and no last day panic. Ole gonna get those new gym mats double quick, double time. :p

I think the football is a bit hit and miss, they've not really clicked. The results are good though, they know how to win ugly, they've got a comeback in them etc.. that's a good sign. I like his interviews, he's quite prickly at times. I like that in a manager.

Big night tonight! 2-0 from last week should be enough, but ties against Porto/Atletico style teams are heavily dependent on the officials. Last week they were falling down clutching their face after a clash of knees, bouncing off Reece James like he was the incredible Hulk and waving imaginary cards at the ref etc.. They were roundly laughed at on Twitter for the antics and the referee was having none of it, but if we get a referee who's sympathetic to it? The game can change very quickly.

Possibly! Even if they don't manage to survive, anyone playing a side in the bottom 6 at the moment is in for a hellish time of things. They're all scrapping and fighting for their lives. They'll not stop running, flying into tackles, getting in your face etc.. Not fun!

The best teams to play are those in mid table who have nothing to play for. Contrast what West Brom and Newcastle have been doing with Crystal Palace who are comfortably in mid table and just went through the motions at the weekend, they got a hammering. Those are the teams you want to see on the schedule in the last few games.

Neymar needs to improve his finishing. Can’t believe we didn’t scored , but at least we’re through , Worried about our performances at home this season though.

Very happy atm , Now we wait for our opponent

What kind of an agent does Choupo Moting have where he can get a move not just from relegated Stoke to PSG but then next to Bayern Munich? What a bizarre career path he's had.
