How is it stupid? It shows how incredibly long and impressive Federer's streak is. The streak has spanned parts of 3 US Presidential Administrations (not to mention 8 Presidents on 24!) and the current President wasn't even in the US Senate yet.

Meanwhile, most of the top players from May 2004 are either out of the game or have declined dramatically. And most of the current top players weren't even on the scene yet.

As far as tennis goes, a hell of a lot has changed. Of all the players in the top ten from that time, I think that only 2 are probably still in the top ten, Federer and Roddick. Australian Open finalist that year Safin, is looking like retiring, Hewitt, the US Open finalist that year is nowhere around. The two finalists from the French that year are both out of the game.

Federer has certainly achieved his ambition, to play across generations of tennis players. It really is a stunning achievement from Federer.

Really, you mean that's why well over 50-60% of our products are made in China?

That's why near all consumer technology that is worth buying is created by Japan (Sony, Mitsubishi, Panasonic etc.) and South Korea (Samsung)?

Yup. The world revolves around the U.S. according to your ignorant mind; the truth is, if the world really wanted to, they could care less about the U.S. (which generally most countries do). The problem is that the U.S. historically after WW2 has wanted to stick it's nose into everyone's business (where it shouldn't be).
