Thera/Tubing band before playing game?

Hello,

In some videos which is about pro's warm-up before game.. pros do their excerise/stretch(?) with Thera/Tubing band.

In my case, I just stretch my muscles.. wrist, hamstring, trunk and so on (not static streching, dynamic stretching)

What is the purpose/effect of using some elastic bands before playing tennis game?

Do you also do warm-up with bands??

When I was working through some shoulder and arm pain issues, I used the bands to do warm-up exercises prior to a match. This helped getting things warmed and loose before even starting court warmups.

What is the purpose/effect of using some elastic bands before playing tennis game?

Stretching with bands allows for greater resistance and muscle activation through a wider range of motion, so it is a more thorough warm-up. Is it a huge improvement over normal dynamic stretching, well technically yes but effectiveness depends on the players need really. Worth trying to incorporate bands in, especially for opening shoulders and hips.
