thick/good socks?

Depends on where you live. In Florida you can get some quality socks at stores that sell them at discount price, e.g., Ross, T-JMax, Marshall's. There are many good quality brands there. I personally not only buy thick quality socks, but also wear 2-3 pairs on the top of each other for max comfort plus sweat absorption.

Champion socks from Costco are pretty thick, at least compared to nike dri-fit socks they are definitely thicker.

i use to wear ankle socks and still do just for practice. but now i wear the tall adidas socks, thick and helps prevent blisters

Can anyone recommend some good semi-thick or thick socks besides Thorlos? Those slide around a bit too much.

I agree with you. I stopped using Thorlos because my foot slipped inside the sock itself inside the show. I switched to WigWam cotton socks and they are great. They are thicker and don't slip around like the Thorlos did.

Best Socks for me are the ones at Costco. The
Russell Athletic DRI power Performance Crew Socks 12 Pr are $12.99
I wear two pairs and they are better than throlo's. Elsewhere they are sold for about $18 for 12.

Plus they are 88% Acrylic/11%Nylon/1%Lycra Spandex. Cotton socks lose shape to fast, these socks are excellent. Hold shape for a long time.

I agree. The costco socks are what I use. They are very comfortable and provide excellent cushioning.

Thanks,
eagle

Cheap $10 for 8 pr. socks from where ever has them on sale. I wear a brand new pr. for each set of each match I play. Always stay dri and fit snug. A small investment to be confortable IMHO.

Wow you buy a new pair of socks for each match? I would probably end up spending $300/year on socks if I did that.
