Dominic Thiem has ended 2021 season to concentrate on healing wrist after injury.
Already knew that. Didnt need a Panchoist to tell me that. Can't defend his pet Slam. Weakest era of all time.
Great news for Nadal
Odd that he hasnt made it official.Nadal is likely to skip US Open himself as he may need more time to heal his injured foot.
Possible. Still, 2/4 Nadal's USO titles came when defending champion wasnt in the draw.Nadal is likely to skip US Open himself as he may need more time to heal his injured foot.
Probably trying to hold off as long as possible. I don’t see him playing, but I think he’s trying his darnedest to make it in time.Odd that he hasnt made it official.
End this sport.
Might as well have Djokovic play against himself
Not quite. Delpo's was a rise. Thiem's was simply finally winning a slam after his previous efforts in his late prime years.Win the uso once at the beginning of a promising career, develop wrist issues. Thiem is the new del potro.
Starting in 2019, each passing year has been worse for me, and this doesn’t seem to end any soon.2021 is the worst tennis year for me. Goodbye TTW till 2022. Might tune in if Med makes USO F.
See you in three weeks2021 is the worst tennis year for me. Goodbye TTW till 2022. Might tune in if Med makes USO F.
He should switch for a more flexible racquet and nat gut on mains
Alcaraz just had a prp injection on his elbow with a similar setup ( pure aero vs and babolat rpm / similar tension ), definitely not the most arm friendly setupMore pros need to be playing with softer racquets and NG or atleast low tensions like Sock
2020 was worse2021, the worst tennis year of the OE
Only end of Novak wins USopen. Let him have his CYGS then bin tennis..End this sport.

I got some pain hitting a one-handed back hand far too late. Feels OK now but it made me think about which balls to bother with and which to let go.Scary. Injured his wrist from hitting one mistimed ball.
Could have happened to anyone, pros, juniors, rec players. The wrist is such a fragile part but crucial to tennis and most sports in general
It depends how you look at it, 2020 was more depressing with the early pandemic and no crowds anywhere, while 2021 has mainly had a lower level especially at the slam level imo. One thing I have enjoyed in 2021 is the variety at the masters events but that's not enough to counteract the negativity for me2020 was worse

Was it a return of a cannonball serve? Wrist hyper-extension?
