Thiem expects to be 100% in Paris

I expect him to be 100% if not by week 1 of RG, then week 2. It'd be hilarious if he forgot how to play on clay though.

Thiem will be fine for RG. Youth is on his side and he isn't playing until the event starts. I expect him to be very dangerous. It's all about the mindset with Thiem right now for me, does he feel too satisified by winning USO, or has it made him even hungrier for more glory?

Eh. What was the speed of his serves? According to talktenis he just stood there while Zed missed and shanked. So, why would he be tired?

Tsitsipas and wawrinka will be bad draws for him. Tsitsipas i think has a very good record v Thiem on clay. In fact Tsitsipas will be dangerous as he has a point to prove after what he did at USO and clay probably his best surface as he has more time on his returns.

I don't know. Tsitsipas' mentally looked highly questionable to me in NYC. And as you said, until the draw isn't out, we really don't know who is going to tango with who. Besides, Wawrinka was bagelled today on his way out to a guy who had never won a tour level match before in straight sets...

Really? Didnt know that about Wawrinka. Did not know he played as my app said TBD when he was playing!!!.
Agree about Tsitsipas but he got slammed by critics, surely that will motivate him. I do not like him so hope i am wrong but i did feel last year he looked good on clay.

Probably not best to make assumptions when it comes to this. Lets see how he does this week in Rome first.

Of course he'll be 100%. The people thinking (or hoping) that he'll be too tired after the US Open are completely delusional. We're talking what...a full two weeks before RG? He's a young guy in his physical prime and people expect he's gonna be too tired after two weeks of no matches *facepalm*

He has no hope against Djokovic or Nadal. Especially Djokovic. You can bet your bottom dollar that Novak will be thirsting for revenge. If they face up in the SF, it might get very ugly for the Austrian.

Again the level at which Thiem is playing, Novak would have demolished him in straights with bakery products thrown in the UsOpen 2020 final.

The AO 2020 final damaged Thiem. It's lucky that there were no big 3, but next time he faces Novak anywhere it won't be pretty. Novak probably broke the Austrian's spirit forever in the AO 2020 final.
