Thiem has dinner with Austrian man

I guess those of you who don't appreciate turtlenecks don't ski or snowboard lol... and/or don't like steve jobs nor that total scammer/murderer liz holmes. If curious search about the CMO of her company who committed suicide.

Back to dinner...I am most curious as to what was for abendgessen!

The list of s$$$mbags Trump has pardoned is long, obscene and growing. Trump is a big fan of corruption and fraud since he’s into it himself. Scammer Bankman-Fried is currently lobbying for one. So expect Holmes to receive one once she figures out how to make it pay for Trump. Fraudster and former Fugee Pras must be lining one up as well.

Here’s another crook that in no universe should be considered for a pardon. The list is very long and growing. Everything is for sale with Trump.

Thiem complained that Fedr Djokr and Nadl did not reply to his retirement ceremony invitation. He settled with a doper, yikes.

“Hello, I am Sannik Jinner from Austria, a causal tennis player, and I am a big fan of yours, Dominic. Perhaps we could play some tennis as it would make my dreams come true? Maybe a best of 3 set match??”

Italians I know don’t support sinner not because of the drugs cheat stuff but because they say he’s not Italian. They are support fognini berritini and Coboli musetti

South Tyroleans are citizens of Italy. South Tyrol (or Alto Adige, as it is known in Italian) is an autonomous province in the north of Italy.
The region was part of Austria-Hungary until the end of the First World War, but was granted to Italy under the terms of the Treaty of Saint-Germain in 1919.

This is not a German language - when two South Tyroleans speak in their dialect, the Germans don't understand a single word.

It's still a form of German though. Most languages have dialects that can be difficult for other dialect speakers to understand.

Well, if you say so. Ladin is an official language in South Tyrol. ;)
Ladin is a Rhaeto-Romanic language that has some words and sounds that are similar to Italian and Latin, for example.
I guarantee you won't understand a single word, even if you knew what it was about.

Of course it is a German dialect. Sinner has no problem doing German interviews
69.15% of the inhabitants of South Tyrol speak German as their mother tongue.

Well, I can speak German - when I was skiing in South Tyrol, I didn't understand a word the locals said - they have a dialect that would make you shudder.
The fact that Sinner speaks German Tyrolean is a different matter.

Are they allowed to practice together?
Thiem must first give up his membership with the Austrian tennis federation.
In fact, despite having retired a few months ago, he is still a member.
However, membership can be given up at any time.

So yes, it is obvious that in this phase that goes until April 13, the two will train together.
Even if I don't think that Sinner's sparring partner will be limited to Thiem, also for a question of stimulation, always training with the same player becomes monotonous in the long run.

There are a lot of german dialects. I have lived in Bavaria and in Alsace (in France but they speak their dialect of German in the villages). Many German's don't understand Swiss German for example. But it's all German just different dialects. I am not a german speaker myself, but living in those areas made me aware of the different dialects.

LeBron James is African with a touch of Filipino (I should have immediately known from his features that he had some Asian descent).

Hahahaha - that was pure High German Sinner was speaking.
You can't compare that with the dialects spoken there. Ladin, for example, is also spoken in South Tyrol.

Right now Dominic is still listed in ÖTV players database. I'll keep an eye on that. Personally I do not believe they are training partners. Maybe some footage will leak someday.

try posting this in the ubitennis article commentaries lol @Rovesciarete

I’m pretty sure that they converse in some sort of Bavarian German, narrowing the dialect down as the evening goes longer. Pretty sure that Sinner has an easier time to understand Thiem’s dialect than the other way around .

When speaking to Becker and Zverev they should remain pretty close to standard German with a Tyrolean colour for Sinner. With Vittur he should use the dialect of their valley.

It’s pretty standard in European languages with a great deal of dialect variety. For example an older guy from Bergamo might start to speak pretty standard Italian to gentleman from Milan. As an informal dinner later they may shift toward Lombard. On the other hand a conversation with a Sicilian with remain in Italian but with some general northern ‘Gallo-Italic’ and southern characteristics.

To understand the Spanish of a attractive girl in a nightclub in Ibiza an Italian generally only needs enthusiasm and alcohol…
