Was looking forward to them meeting at RG this year.I wish we could see more of these battles but Stan may be too old at this point:

That's the most predictable shot of his gameInside out forehand no
Okay meme. There is no such thing as point construction. Tennis is a sport of doing, not one of thinking.
The only 'point construction' that occurs in tennis is: hit as hard as you can, run as hard as you can.
I don't agree hereHis game is too physical so he gets gassed just before finish line.
Roger Federer would like to know your locationThere's really nothing wrong with his mental: it's just that he has no plan B or variety when his tank runs dry and he starts spraying because his high risk style.
Which is almost the norm now with all the Top 10 ( Danii the notable exception) : hit and run as hard as you can until you drop dead from exhaustion. Avoid the net like the plague.
And UFE after UFE in the breakerOf course he is scared of big finales, this was abundant;y clear much earlier.
Those 3 dumb errors he made midway through the 2nd set on Medvedev's serve cost him the match. This was classic fear of victory.
That speaks against Roger that he couldn't beat this guy in a big finale. He’s what 5-2 against Federer?

Nadal is leagues ahead in terms of mental strength. When was the last time he lost a big final "under control"??
Mai to seriously lega re baba.Bhai itna seriously mat lelo mera comment ko.
Kuch log aisa hi hey. Mental toughness nahi sikhaya jasaktaMai to seriously lega re baba.
Can't digest choke after choke from a good player like Thiem.
I guess, if the expectation is that he's going to be an ATG. But, he can still achieve a very solid career with multiple big titles and Slams despite the 2-7 record in "big finals."he does have a big problem considering he’s 27 ....
And he freely admits it. There's no reason for this malady not being fixed years ago. Borg at 27 was retired with 11 slams. Roger at age 27 had 15 slams.I'm not sure it's something we can fix for him. He always gets very nervous in big finals.

Thiem has been on tour since he was 17 years old, there's no excuse that he still rarely serves out matches without being broken. He's seen sports psychologists and still said Saturday, "my whole body couldn't move due to nerves." Such a mindset at age 27 doesn't bode well for him in terms of racking up slam titles.
