Thiem's fist-pump could hurt his right thumb

does anyone else feel uncomfortable watching his fist pumps or is it just me?

whenever i see him pumping his fist, it almost looks like he is breaking his right thumb........someone in his camp should caution him about it to not overdo it in the heat of the moment.........

Has it been confirmed that his thumb is actually tucked into the index finger or siting beside the index finger?

On a remotely relevant note, I once saw an interview of a motorbike racing rider. He said his fingers are permanently "locked" in to the riding position. He doesn't wrap his fingers around the bike handle, he simply sleeve his finger grips into the handle.

May be Thiem has the same problem.
