Thin Replacement Grip?

Can anyone suggest a thin replacement grip?

A buddy of mine is wanting to make his grips a bit smaller without a lot of hassle. Going to try a thin replacement grip. Any suggestions?

Im sorry to do this to you, but I recently wondered this very question myself so I used the search feature and found that there are actually a ton of threads out there related to this topic.

If you don't want to search like recommended above, try Babolat's Skin Feel grip, sold here at TW. It's supposed to be one of the thinnest available. Hope that helps.

The consensus is laserfibre grip reducers are the thinnest. If you want some, email me. I have some extra that I want to get rid of.

Try a TW stock leather replacement grip in the think version. They don't some thinner than that and with leather, you can really feel the bevels, so it actually not only is thin it feels even thinner. Put an overgrip from Babolat VS on, and you can hardly get it thinner AND better feeling than that !

I found Prince Duratac and Head Dual Absorbing to be the thinnest I've used. Babolat Perfect grip is also thin, but it's grooved, and may not satisfy all players. It didn't satisy me:D

The thinnest overgrip ever is the Babolat VS overgrip.
No one makes it thinner because then it will tear apart.
(is that english, 'tear apart'?)

Wilson Kontrol is also quite thin. Careful though as it is also on the lighter side and will alter the racquet balance if you're going from a heavier grip..

gamma grip 2 is really really thin.

it is, but its awful. I used it in the mid 80's (when I was a kid) and liked them. I got a few sets for free recently and gave them away...they did not absorbe sweat and were actually slippery from the get go. They were the blue colored ones.

however, tripleB wanted a replacement grip (not overgrip).

Yonex Basic Cushion Grip and Babolat Skin Feel are the thinnest grips on the market that I know of. If you stretch them out during application, it gets even thinner. Laserfibre is thin too, but I'm not too sure if its available anymore.

The Yonex is 1.6 mm and I believe the Babolat is very close in thickness as well.
Be careful about thin grips though, you might end up with callouses like me.

there is a kirschbaum soft replacement grip I put on one of the rackets that was pretty thin. It feels great.
