Thinking about switching to X1-biphase from BBR

Hi,

One of my luxillon BBR strings broke (FINALLY!) and because luxy has been hurting my arm really badly (even creeped to my shoulder at one point), I was thinking about using X1-biphase or something a bit softer (btw, any suggestions in this department? Price cannot exceed $15, but $11-12 if possible is ideal) so I was wondering if you guys have any suggestions about where I should string it at, etc.? I think I like my luxy string at around 55 lbs in my n-blade (I experimented with one frame at 53, another at 57, and found that central is probably ideal), and would like a bit more control. I tend to hit the ball very flat, and thus can generate my own pace, but can't string at high tension previously because luxy would break my arm. So if you guys have any suggestions at all about either what I should do with the X1-biphase string or about good strings for flat hitters, please let me know. I still suck with strings, so yeah.

why not try a hybrid? it will reduce some of the stiffness of the lux. Biphase is a great string, but will most likely have more power than the lux, so you may need to string abit tighter.

biphase is on the larger end of your price limit, around $14.50. If your willing to try that, go ahead, but another string I would try is kirschbaum touch multifibre. great durability for a multi, and unbelievable touch and control.

on the cheaper end, i would try iso speed control. its around $11

dude since luxy was a bit bad try the babolat pro hurricane tour/ xcel premium pack or try the technifbre x-1 it will give better playability than luxy but not only that it will give your arm a rest but those two are the best go for you atm becuase of your current situation

Biphase is a great string I like the 17 gauge,Also the ngr2 though I find more powerful also is a nice string.I went away from Luxillon found that it played great for a day or two and then just goes flat.

You might want to try Head's FXP. It's not a poly, but it still has a lot of control. I never had any arm issues when I used it, and I have really tender joints. I also like Alpha Sphere. It has more power than the FXP, but has a very nice soft feel.
