He came off a steaming pile of garbage showing at RG'18 and talked openly about skipping Wimbledon. Then he hoisted the Trophy a month later. Confidence is not an issue. Form, that can come and go. He needs to train and peak his game appropriately. He knows what he's doing and he'll give himself the best chance. Doesn't mean he'll win RG but its clear his strategy is to peak for slams and care f@#&-all for M1000s. He won almost every M1000 in 2015 but still whiffed at RG'15 and completely burnt himself out mentally and physically by RG'16.
