I know, we don't want an annus horribilis do we ?

Actually, Erectus Abdominis is having one already, but let's see if things improve in the clay season.

It's my first visit to this dark corner of TTW. Having only skimmed through the last few pages, I'm somewhat befuddled. At first glance it appeared encrypted; alien, like something I've never quite gazed upon before but made up of intriguing little morsels of familiarity. And then the proverbial "light bulb" started flickering; twitching with possibilities! A different way of communicating? A new language? A Sewretchian pig latin?!
Endeavour to decode this peculiar new tongue!

Is this how new religions and cults are born in the "Aetate Digitalis"?

Nope, it's @Sentinel and I engaging in a Sewretchian dialogue that has temporarily derailed this noble thread.

I'm still searching for the elusive high quality and convenient Indian buffet so I'll vote for my Golden Corral AYCE buffet, where I do most of my fill-up at the salad bar and add beets in your honor to the huge salad I build. I stay away from the pasta and go for broiled fish with broccoli, squash and carrots for sides. I also say, "Hello, Sewretch!" every time I walk past the Chocolate Wonderfall.:p:D

The cinema is a no consumption zone for me. I was weaned from snacks during movies as an impoverished student in London when I had little cash to spare after gaining admission.

I don't consider myself a smuggler if there's a banana or a box of raisins in my coat pocket though.i wouldn't want to nod off in the middle of the flick.

These are both great films. "Notorious" had a much stronger storyline dealing with the dark side of spy tradecraft, and Ingrid Bergman, while "North by Northwest" had some of the most iconic scenes in film history.

I once worked for a producer who had a giant framed still in his office of Cary Grant escaping a plane in the "North by Northwest" crop duster scene. There was something about the scene that elicited primal fears. I will have to go with "North by Northwest" as it has so many scenes that remain in the collective consciousness of cinematic memories.

    Will win more majors:

I am currently watching the Warriors on television, and don't mind not being at the event, especially since I don't feel like wearing one of those bright yellow t-shirts they put on every chair, creating peer pressure for everyone to put one on.

While the San Diego Bageler may be a dine-and-dashing, no-tipping heartless bageler, he seems like a witty and intelligent man. He's clearly a gambler, as evidenced by his cheetah like sprint to the net and balletic moves at the net. He is the inspiration for Roger's SABR attack.

I once got drunk on Vernors Ginger Ale and Jack Daniels at a party, and ginger ale hasn't appealed to me since. Bourbon is less dangerous than vodka with a soda, because you at least know that there is alcohol in there.

I remember asking Norwegian girls in Oslo why everyone is carrying around Coke bottles, and they explained that they were filled with vodka and the police won't check. That was a fun night.

The biggest binge cultures I have seen were with Swedes (especially in Copenhagen) and in Japan.

Getting drunk with Swedes in Copenhagen, or Japanese businessmen in Tokyo?
