“I’d like to pass the time playing a bit of solitaire, Mom. But please don’t flip the Queen of Diamonds! Otherwise, I might have to become homicidal.” FTW. Angela Lansbury carries that film!

I like both, but slight edge to "Zombie."

Donn Beach, also known as Don the Beachcomber, was notorious for coding and obsessively fiddling with his recipes and housemade ingredients. Largely considered the founder of tiki cocktail culture, Beach opened Don the Beachcomber’s in Hollywood in 1934 and created a canon of drinks that built upon the base of fresh juices, exotic fruits, complex syrups and lots and lots of rum.

The Zombie is a prime example of his typical concoction: strong and rather mysterious (it contains two different proprietary mixes). Bar lore says the original was so potent that Beach mandated his customers order no more than two Zombies in one sitting. This recipe is Beach’s original from 1934 as translated by Jeff “Beachbum Berry” in his book Sippin’ Safari.

Serving: 1
  • 1 1/2 ounces rum, Jamaican
  • 1 1/2 ounces rum, Puerto Rican
  • 1 ounce 151-proof rum
  • 1/2 ounce Don's Mix (see Editor's Note)
  • 1/2 ounce Velvet Falernum
  • 3/4 ounce lime juice
  • 1/4 ounce grenadine
  • 2 dashes absinthe
  • 1 dash Angostura bitters
Garnish: mint sprig

As a TV spectator sport, NHL ice hockey FTW. However, nothing can match baseball outdoors live on a beautiful sunny afternoon.

The Great One, the most dominant athlete ever out of any other sport.

The other guy might be right up there on Mt. Rushmore but he's just a bitter person and so on and so forth.

American Football?

Actually, international football is growing on me but the American oblate spheroid game has at least a 50-year headstart.

The birthplace of reggae, definitely. Love them Habanos [though all Habanos are Cuban made, not all Cuban cigar qualifies as a Habano] too, occasionally.

You are single and in a foreign country where a very, very attractive woman who's an intelligent asset meets you in a bar and sleeps with you, but you are filmed and she just wanted to elicit information and put potential blackmail material in the intelligence agency's file:

Regret it or no regrets?
