As tennis players...we often fiddle with different racquets/strings/grips/tensions to the point of insanity.

But let's in this thread talk about the clothing and apparel that has helped us out. Where you kept trying different types and brands till finally landing on the one that works best for you...and know it's your "must have " piece of kit. be it the sweat band that finally kept the sweat out of your eyes...the hat/sunglasses that helped on those sunny days...or that pair of shoes that provide the right amount of support and weight with comfort that makes you want 100 pairs of them

maybe do your top 3 in order of how much it matters to you and was your biggest problem solver.

#1 for me was socks - I got blisters...they wore out too quickly...didn't absorb sweat well...not enough cushion ( I tried tons of Brands....the ones that I am 100% happy with that worked)

Nike Hyper Elite Crew basketball socks ( no blisters/last longer than most..and my feet actually feel less tired after matches)

#2 Tape for fingers - I wear a piece of tape on my right hand index finger and thumb both behind the knuckles...tried generic tape..sport tape and it would come off...roll up to easy --rip up my grip till one day i tried.

KT TAPE PRO Synthetic I know this is used for injury recovery...but it stays on..stretches with your hand and and the synthetic fabric is smooth and does not rip up your grip.
I normally cut them in half and then cut the halves into 3rds..so one KT tape strip gets me 3 matches.
plus you can have fun with the colors

#3 Winter under shirt- when playing in colder temps I like to wear a long sleeve compression type athletic shirt (typically black or white) and then wear my regular Nike/Adidas/etc Dry fit T-shirts over them.- Well I tried..Nike...Adidas....Reebok...even champion I think and it never failed every service game I would have to reach in and un-twist my sleeve - which was annoying...and broke up my serve routine.....till Finally I got

Men's Under Armour ColdGear long Sleeve- Nice and fitted..but not wet suit tight...warm...and most of all no more twisty sleeve.

Things I am still searching for:
Sunglasses I can play in - tried a few but not in love with anything yet..find glare still a factor and sometimes warped looking tennis balls at the edge of the lens...tho it does kinda for me to turn my head when watching the ball...which is probably a good thing.

Shoes - My favorite has been the Nike Court Ballistic 4.3's and I have stock piled about 7 pairs...but
they are getting harder to find in my size...so looking for the next favorite

Didn't care for the Lunars...I like the Vapors..but for whatever reason I burn the soles on them super fast. hated Kswiss and New Balance tried some adidas...thinking about trying Asics next

nikes big bill golf visor has finally solved my ability to see on the court consistently.. i don't have long hair as you can see.. but the stuff in front manages to flip out over the brim of every visor i have owned..until i got the nerve to try what is really marketed as a woman's golf visor.. fortunately it comes in black.. i can curl the brim and block almost every sun situation you come across.. the rising sun to the setting one.. plus most importantly the hair stays put and can't block my on the run style of play.. hats work fine.. but trap the heat. so something as simple as some headwear has improved my confidence and in turn my game.

I've never considered a visor...might have to try that!

Foot comfort:
A fiend suggested using Spenco heel pads under my aftermarket insoles (Powerstep or Spenco Blue) when playing tennis. I have plantar fascitis again, and now I can continue to play tennis everyday virtually pain free. Just received my new KSwiss Hypercourt Express shoes (thanks TW) yesterday and played last night with my suggested set-up. Feet feel great. Even put the Spenco in my everyday shoes for relief.

For sunglasses Tifosi is an excellent choice, very reasonably priced (most are <$70) and they come with three different lens choices, easy to switch between them, there are two that are great for tennis (a dark green one for very bright days and an EC (extreme contrast) pink one that is an excellent all-around tennis lens regardless of brightness)

Uniqlo tennis shorts fixed my problem being soaked in sweat when playing in a hot, humid climate.

For some reason they seem to breathe and evaporate sweat much better than other shorts I've worn.

Tennis Warehouse reissue of Fairway grips fixed my problem of racquets not having a leather grip I like.

filas tennis shorts... most shorts can hold comfortably one ball.. these can hold 7 comfortably when i am hitting with my kids.. or 2-3 when i am playing for real..can run and swing and it is like they are not there at all

#1 Hand sweat - I had tried the Princegrip plus enhancer, wristbands, and toweling off obsessively but nothing really helped. I went through overgrips like crazy and even had broken a racquet or two due to slipping out of my hand on serve.
Then I found out about dry grip. BEST STUFF EVER. Basically actual antiperspirant in liquid form. Once I started using these all my problems went away. Now I dont even wear wristbands anymore.
Tennis Wearhouse used to sell this stuff and I bought it from them all the time. Have no idea why they discontinued it but now I buy it from the jungle in a huge 10oz bottle.

Sunglasses - I use Oakley Radar's with a custom lens I got from Oakley, will set you a pretty penny.
I agree with Oakleys.... but I have the Flak Jacket with polarized black iridium for outside, then I pop in my clear lenses for inside, there both prescription.
So my answer would be" Oakley's fixed my vision"..... I could not play without them.
