Thoughts on Solinco Barb Wire?

I have been playing with Barb Wire 16 for a while now. A lot of posters say it feels dead, but I seem to get a lively response in my Pure Strike 19/19 (red & black). Anyone else?

I tried it one time and did not like it. I am a crappy player at best with bad knees, and play equally bad with most any string. I just did not like the way it felt. For me there was no pop, and I felt I had no feel.

I play with the 17 pretty regular. I am an old guy too. I hit pretty flat, although I try to get topspin, slice, and sidespin. I think it helps me get a little more spin than I would otherwise get, especially at higher tensions.
