Thoughts on the new Percept 97

Any updates on Percept new release in 2026?

Yonex should have it out if we are to follow 3-year cadence, like with VCORE.

I would guess AO next year

Maybe the Yonex Percept Midnight Navy is the new version. Same racquet as the original Percept, just a different paintjob

Pretty sure it'll be exactly the same release schedule as the VCore, except 1 year later.

My racket of choice is Percept 97D. I find it a huge improvement over the sluggish Vcore Pro 97D. I hope Yonex doesn’t change a thing. It is great as is, and I find it easier to play with than both Gravity Pro and Prestige Pro.

I found Percept 97D harder to play with vs. Speed Pro 2026. Speed pro feels lighter and faster. Mostly felt it on low balls or when defending.

Excited to see what they can do with the new one since Vcore had massive update
A gloss dark green maybe ? Only hoping for a 97 with a higher SW

I expect they'll change the shape for more aero and power/spin. Expect it to stay soft and thin beam. Hope they keep the H ... as it already appears discontinued in the current gen.

I like that old mint color, looks fresh. New navy no so much, its boring. If its dark, its better have it like speed pro legend, glossy black.
