Three matches for your life

Imagine you are abducted by a race of time-traveling aliens, and they are forcing you into a wager for your life. They have proposed a game where if you lose, you die.

The game involves three tennis matches. One match played on grass, one on clay, and one on a hard court. To win you will have to win two of the three matches. You and the aliens will not be the players in these matches, however. You will each have other players represent you. The aliens have chosen the present day Roger Federer to play for them in all three matches. You have the choice of any player from any time period to represent you in these matches. Keeping in mind your life depends on the results, who would you choose to play Federer in these three matches? You can choose one player for each match/surface, one player for all three matches, or any other combination.

My choices would be Sampras from ’94 for the Grass AND hard court match and present-day Nadal for the clay court match (I almost went with Kuerten from 2000 for the clay match).

It's a trick question - like a diamond is the only substance that can scratch a diamond - I'll go with Federer of 2007, when he has improved his volley and is even more dominant!

sampras-grass & hard('94)
kuerten-clay('00 or '01)
nadal's a fine player, but was just watching some old guga matches, his peak level is much higher(can just blow people off the court, even on clay, can retrieve just about anything as well-very underrated speed, long arms)

Maybe Lendl on hard, just to see how Federer reacts to getting drilled in the head.
