Throwback string—SPPP vs Hyper-G Soft

Hi TW Team,

I've seen some older videos where @troy mentions Signum Pro Poly Plasma being a "go-to" string. I have used that string recently and would like to know how you compare it to Solinco Hyper-G Soft, which I'm looking to try. In particular, I wonder if the comfort level is noticeably different with the Hyper-G Soft over SPPP? (Comparing 1.25 Hyper G Soft vs 1.23 SPPP).

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

It has been a little while since I have hit with both of those strings, but based on my recollections I would definitely give the benefit of comfort to the Hyper-G Soft. Signum Pro Poly Plasma is decently comfortable for a poly, however it still resides slightly more on the firmer side of the spectrum for me. I would say control is fairly similar, but the Hyper-G Soft wins when it comes to spin, and Poly Plasma holds up slightly better over time in comparison (a bit closer to regular Hyper-G, but not quite that good).

Thanks, Troy. Just saw this now. Hyper-G Soft sounds like a great string. Do you mean that regular Hyper-G is better than Poly Plasma for tension maintenance?
