Tiafoe is epic af :)

Epic? Don’t you browse TTW?

It certainly wasn’t his all out attacking strategy and clutch volleying that got him the result.

TTW taught me that he didn't actually beat Sinner or Diego, the ATP granted him a walkover because he gestured to the crowd and started “clowning” and laughing between points. No professional can win with that sort of thing going on.

Dude has one of the most original and unorthodox games on tour, and people are crying bc he likes to get the crowd into it? LOL
Tiafoe is EXACTLY the kind of life tennis needs injected into it BADLY right now. 90% of the tour is boring af.
I can see why you are so into WWF ;). I for one enjoy watching tennis for the skills (which Tiafoe has plenty by the way). I do not care for the 'showmanship' part.

Notice the two biggest MadLad fans are the ones with the thumbs down. You're supposed to insult the crowd, not get them behind you. Geez, doesn't this Tiafoe guy know anything about tennis?

His tennis and attitude are quite entertaining if you're rooting for him. In general Tiafoe is a welcome burst of personality that is mostly absent from tennis matches now. Totally understand that not everyone appreaciates theatrics but it gets the crowd going which then seemingly raises the stakes of the match.

Not to sound crazy, but the match vs Schwartzman for me is one of the most memorable matches this year o_O . At the end of that second set everyone was buzzing with so much energy, including both players. That's an amazing atmoshere that many matches deserve but don't get because of how restrained players are.

I'm on the fence when it comes to Tiafoe, he seems like a nice guy and fun to be around but in this latest tournament I think his behaviour on court was OTT, to the point where I actually think it was intentional gamesmanship and dirty mind games to try and put off his opponents. Now, that I do not like.

Didn't need some of those antics. But I guess some fans find that attractive too. Or at least depending on which player does that...

The tennis was very good from what I saw. Definitely approved in that regard.

Guarantee he would not have done that with a Djokovic, Nadal or even a Medvedev on the other side of the net.

Tiafoe is a clown and overrated. I watched him against Daniil Mevedev @CitiOpen a few years ago. Tiafoe thought hit a volley winner against and ran toward the towel, only to find out that DM got the ball back for a winner.

I AGREE! I would not agree though that 90% of the tour is boring, but Tiafoe adds excitement to the tour.

I was actually just looking at buying a Nike Tiafoe polo.

But then I realized they cost $100 and were made with slave labor for $2, so I decided against it. But still, love the energy.

Not possible, Colin Kapernick is a Nike spokesman so the brand must of course be virtuous.

Tiafoe played tennis the way it's supposed to be played. Too bad the boring power and consistency of Zverev who didn't have to come forward or make a volley the whole match gave him the win. Tiafoe's inferior strokes make him play intelligent tennis and construct points. But, it shouldn't be like that. People with good strokes also need to have to play proper tennis for tennis to become interesting on tv. The good tennis is under a big threat. The reason is true bounce - if they played on surface that doesn't grant true bounce, like clay or grass, Tiafoe would have much bigger chances. Well, actually he wouldn't because his strokes are too crappy for grass and clay, but i think you get my point. With true bounce boring bashers like Zverev just run around the baseline without constructing points

This is what we need, some showmanship along with grit. Bye bye Big Four hello Big 'Foe in 2022.
Yes because the big 4 have lacked entertainment value during their run   . Just be happy if Big Foe makes the final of a couple of 250's.

Comin' from a Fed fan, it's time pack up those Lindt chocolates and move on.
Ha good one !!!! In reality Roger is clearly at the end of his career and it's easy to accept and move on with 103 career titles, Frances is only 102 behind :p:p, and 20 Grand Slams. Do you want to compare careers when they were both 23, which Frances is now, ???

He's entertaining.

I'm italian but man, I have to say Sinner may be the most boring player ever (at least among those with Slam winning potential)... He never uses slices, dropshot, volleys..
Seriously? You think Sinner is boring? Ma che droghe usi?

I guess someone forget to tell Marcos Giron that this is the era of Big Foe :p.
Well anybody with a brain wouldn’t be surprised. Tiafoe might have injuries but the main reason he’s ranked so low is his consistency and base level.
I’ll admit Tiafoe is fun to watch but unfortunately for him when his game is off his level drops so much that he can lose to most.
Have a look at his results over the last 2 years there is some howlers in there and that will always be a problem for him

If Tiafoe was serious with his tennis, he was going to be a master winner if not slam winner, he has talent and can trouble very good player on his day
