Tiafoe with Djokovic like post-match celebration!

Good for him! And enough already with the security guards trying to stop players from interacting with the fans. The fans are lined up like cattle outside the gates to get in for night session and that’s fine, but the player signing autographs is a COVID threat that must be stopped?! Ridiculous.

Tiafoe knows how to get the crowd behind him. And unlike Djokovic, he doesn't think "what unbelievable luck" and look to his box with that look when an opponent hits a great shot. Tiafoe smiles when that happens.

Quite ridiculous to celebrate like this for a 3R win, to be honest. As long as young guys will consider it such a big deal to win in the early rounds, they will have mental issues in the later stages of big tournaments. How much of his mental energy did he spend on this match and what does he have left ?

To be fair, it was an upset of a top 5 seed. If he'd edged past a five-setter against a qualifier or some other player, maybe I'd understand your point.

They are the same age, though. None of them won a slam in the past. Treating Tsitsipas like something special compared to him is putting him on a pedestal. And that's not what someone who claims to "fear nobody" should do.

It's a huge achievement for next gen to get in to the second week of a major.
