Tiafoe's listed height - is it correct?

We've had a big debate about Alcaraz's listed height. It was downgraded from 6'1 to 6'0, but even 6'0 looks like it's overestimating his height. I just saw Tiafoe at the net with Nadal. Tiafoe looked shorter than Nadal, yet he's listed as 6'2 and Nadal is listed as 6'1.

Again I think this is an error. What is Tiafoe's actual height? It looks like 6'0 to me.

What’s the obsession with heights around here? :)
Obsession? I think it's just that people want accurate info on players.
I don't know, but some expert (sperg) in here will use trigonometry and calculus to calculate his exact height to the quarter inch to rectify this lack of knowledge.
Sperg?? Bit harsh. But did you see him at the net with Nadal? Definitely looked shorter than Nadal who is 6'1.

Interesting. Why are so many of these heights wrong?
A logico-methodological explanation is that maybe ATP officials do not measure players' height. They simply ask players their height and list them with their self-reported height. That gives room to height liars with Napoleon complex, such as Alcaraz.

The WTA also experiences this problem. Leylah Fernández is listed as 168 cm (5' 6") when she looks 12-15 cm (5-6 inches) shorter than 175 cm (5' 9") Emma Raducanu

Referring to this common-sense explanation (which is probably right) as logico-methodological is rather grandiose!

Interesting how you rarely see exact heights. Like no one is 181 or 182 or 179.

My wife was looking at Gasquet the other day and asked me if he was short.

She knows nothing about tennis... you know, like people that start these threads...

To me Gasquet doesn't look 6'1 either and yet there he is.
Probably because his neck and head are bigger than normal:

His shoulder is well below Nadal's, but the top of their heads are at the same level.

Same thing with the slightly taller Federer:

Gasquet is leaning a little bit and is still pretty much the same height as Federer, who is standing straight up

Wow his shoulders are so much lower but his head and neck stretch so much. That is weird. Did you notice this or did someone else?

I noticed this when Gasquet's height was being questioned and I started looking at pictures of him with other players

The VCore Pro 97 always looks quite big in Tiafoe's hands. So unless he's secretly using a 100, I do wonder if he's shorter than he's supposed to be.
