Hello Tier One Sports. I am 4.0-4.5 player. My favorite polys would probably be the Prince Beast, Lux M2s, and Technifibre Red Codes. I have yet to playtest the Triumph, still playtesting the Tour Status for a bit more. If you guys send me another set of Triumph I will definitely playtest that!:)

    Tour Status 17g

I've been trying this string courtesy of the great folks at Tier1 Sports, they sent me various string samples and an overgrip which is top quality as well.

Tour Status 17 is a black colour co-poly, reminds me of a combination of Babolat RPM Blast and Genesis Typhoon. It has a nice firm response with a sweet grab/pocketing on impact. So far playability and tension maintenance have been great for a $9/set string. Will update further as I put some more time in.

The Duraflux co-poly looks almost identical to Tour Bite, my partner strung it up and will be giving it a try as well.

    Thanks T1 for the string!

I've got a number of multis in the queue to test in a few weeks. I'll contact these guys and see if I can playtest their multi.

For those who like spin and a poly...try the Tier 1 Firewire....wowza!

Cluckcluck, it appears you have also tried our Tour Status string. Can you draw any comparison between these 2 strings?

Tour Status and Firewire are two different animals. The TS felt crisp and powerful; the FW felt lower powered and softer, both produced nice spin.
In my case, I enjoyed the FW's pocketing that complimented my swing style for more spin.
Though the FW was lower in power, the confidence I had with this string allowed me to go after my shots that resulted in a more controlled mid-power winner.
The TS is fun from the baseline, firm strokes resulted in deep quick groundies. I would say that FW produces heavier balls and the TS produces fast balls.

I won't have time to test it until January but I'll probably drop you a line tomorrow. Thanks!

I thought it was a good time to revive this thread, because I just placed my first order with Tier One Strings! Being that I've never used them before I was a little skeptical, but they made the decision easy for me with a free trial string offer. I just paid a few for shipping, and opted to try their Black Knight co-poly.

Thank you Tier One for the free string offer, and I look forward to giving this these a try soon! I will be using them in the cross, with a HEAD Velocity in the main.
