A few should. None of the clay because of the congested schedule, and not the IW/Miami double because it is epic as is, while the Canada/Cinci double is too close to USO.

Shanghai and Paris seem like good candidates despite players being banged up that time of year .. but make those the fastest courts on tour with a tight five setter coming in at two hours. could really help those "lackluster" masters stand out a little bit.

I'm fine with Bo3's in Masters events because they give the underdog much more than a punchers chance. I think Del Potro does actually benefit from Bo3's vs the Big Four, as do others. Obviously he CAN win best of 5s too against them, but the odds drop a good deal.

Honestly it's a wash for me. But that IW epic probably did deserve to be Bo5. It was insane. Maybe not the best level at times but the drama/theater were top notch. I easily could have watched another 2 hrs of that.

I'm not sure yet that it should be Bo5 so I have selected this "I am confused" options. BUT it really did seem shockingly rough to decide the winner of that match with a 7 point, non-super tiebreak. Definitely needed to be at least an advantage set or extended breaker imo

Larry Ellison is such a tennis lover and purist with trying to encourage more tennis from the best players (encouraging doubles etc.) that I'm sure he has approached the players about the idea of a longer format for the title match. Hopefully it happens.

Though you bring valid points for the discussion, the ATP tennis season is too long. There is no main sport season with competition for almost 11 out of the 12 months of the year.
