Whenever I see @TimeToPlaySets make a post, 99% of the time, I'm like wtf.

So absurd.

So wrong, most of the time.

But I love them for that.

The best threads on this forum are the ones that @TimeToPlaySets is in.

They are able to elevate threads on a whole another level with their shiitposting abilities.

Also, I find their hatred for pushers HILARIOUS, you can just tell they don't got much power themselves.

REAL QUESTION: is TimeToPlaySets a wannabe pusher?

Sometimes he seems so playful, other times he comes at you hard. I have gotten blindsided my some of his attacks. Then he seems so jolly and fun.

I don't know what to make of him, but he ranks higher than sareshi character, so I am in.

TTPS has gotten alot better, no matter what he says, he is trying todo things better. And is

Why would you think I am a pusher?
Because I have a lot of respect for pushers and junkers ?
But that respect only comes from getting beaten by them.

I also ridicule 3.5 maniac spazzes, which would imply I am a smug pusher.
Right, that makes sense.

I am neither a spazz or pusher.
I am working towards being more of a pusher when on defense
and waiting for my attack ball, when i pound it.

I guess I want to be a spazz pusher !

Yup. At least he puts in time to develop. However, by his own measure he will continue to fluctuate between 3.5 and 4.0 like most rec players. But ratings aside, the best way to read TTPS’s post are as self-help and personal revelations (any time he say you, they, or talks about players in general just put “I” in their place and it makes sense). Everyone has steps and processes they learn, revamp, relearn, improve, and continue the cycle. TTPS just post along those steps as gospel truths. Some are good observations, some are just opinions along the way that more experienced folks already have moved past. Some are just against the grain of conventional play which some folks dislike, and ya know sometimes he just posts stuff to watch folks lather themselves up with bar of angry soap.

I got no problems in any of that. I’d hit with him, just to see how it all plays out on court. Then again, I’ll hit with anyone.

(any time he say you, they, or talks about players in general just put “I” in their place and it makes sense).

Not really.

For example, I say most 4.0s that I've encountered, particularly in doubles, are bunting dinkers with no BH.
I, on the other hand, hit as hard as I can, and am nothing remotely close to a pusher.
4.0s have dink 2nd serves. I hit my 2nd serve as hard as I can.

So, no, when I talk about myself, I use words like "I" and "me" and "my"

I saw some of that in Flex League 4.0, and even in the 4.5's, but those are just made up ratings by the players. I am back on my 18's and a 40's 4.0 teams and there isn't a true dink serve in the lot. Slow kick or easy 80ish MPH serves for sure. But on par of the level speed wise with very good placement. I think a lot has to do with what section you are too - guys I play with from other states our even countries all have different skills and expectiaons of skills, even within the same ratings. Most of what people speak from is personal experience, so the best way to serve ourselves is to branch out and try to get broader experience with as many players from different places as we can.

The Surprise facility I play out of is a double edged sword. Being such a prime location and excellent place overall, USTA hosts a boat load of nationals and events there. Basically the last few years it has become a local tax payer funded USTA facility with almost half of the weekend in the year used for their services. So as a resident, that kinda pisses me off. The flip side is, I have got to meet and play with a huge variety of folks all over the place and at low to high levels. It's been awesome.

Some people can be insulted by anothers success. Being wrong is part of the learning process, why its fun to watch him blossum.
