Tips for Indian Wells

Hello everyone! I am planning a trip to the US from Italy and would like to go to Indian Wells with my uncle. I was thinking of getting a ticket for the round of 16 at Stadium 1, what do you think? Any advice on this? In your opinion, is it better if I go through some retailer, like Vivid Seat, or do I wait for the official website to release the individual tickets? Thank you very much to everyone that can help me!

To be more clear, the seeded players get byes for the first round, but Big Names can be seen in the Stadium starting at the second round, though since they're commonly playing nobodies the matches are often not close. I like the idea of round of 16, since it's not the weekend, it's not crazy expensive, and everyone left is in the top 16, or beat someone in the top 16 (or beat someone who beat someone...). Of course if you want to watch a specific player you could miss out, but the OP didn't say that.

Thank you all for your advice! Do you think I have any chance of getting tickets? I read on the official site that they didn't send me the booking code, because I'm a new user and will be able to buy them in September

IW tickets are pretty easy to get, you'd be ok getting decent tickets even after the next day's schedule is out.

I actually follow the men's more and I really like Dimitrov's style. Then as an Italian, I clearly support Sinner, also because he comes from an Italian area close to mine.

I just ask because she was ahead of me in the TSA precheck line at the Palm Springs airport (heading to Miami) when we left Indian Wells this year. Such a pleasant and sweet young gal.

I also like Paolini as a person, very kind and sunny. It will be my first live tennis (then I will go to Rome for sure), and I think it is important to see them live also to understand the real personalities.

Is Monte Carlo on your list?

As someone who's been to IW ten times, my personal suggestion is to try to go for the qualifying. The reason is the first weekend is insanely packed and it will be hard with the massive crowds to get a good seat. The best part of IW is the practice courts, and a lot of the seeded players will be there during the qualifying.

I would agree with this. Qualifying is free and all of the pros are already there practicing. The first Friday - Weekend is insanely crowded and it's just not fun. Not when you need to line up to get into a match court.

Practice courts is where you want to be be.

This is the same for the Open. Qualifying is epic.

We would actually like to go to Halle so we can see the grass as well. A friend often goes to Monte Carlo to watch the qualifiers
Yeah, as your friend (and many here) has observed qualies are a great value, but if you can afford round of 16 tix, spend the money. It's worth it. There's a reason they cost more.
