Tiriac defends controversial blue clay

Not what I said.

I know .... but why mention rafa's preference then ? Just because you are his fan ? How about looking at the bigger picture for once ?

If at all Madrid is to be replaced, Hamburg should get back its status. It was a fine tournament ...

I want to see him defend it after the reception he got during his speech earlier

dr. Ivo should really start a stand up comedy carreer after tennis. hilarius stuff is "tweetos"

There doesn't need to be injuries for the courts to be dangerous. Players have obviously noticed they're more slippery so one should think they'd move with more caution...

So statistics and facts are not as good of proof as someones opinion?

LOL

Sure the court was slippery and made players move with more caution, that will be fixed next year.

But you still cant argue with the facts and stats and they both prove that this court was less dangerous than a softer court at Monte Carlo.

Fedards = blue clay is the greatest!!!!!

Non-Fedards aka Everyone with a brain cell = the worse clay court tournament in recent memory.

Monte Carlo doesn't count. At least it's clay.

As a viewer - watching in high definition, I really liked the blue.

As a player - I can see why some where bothered with how slippery the court was. It certainly played too fast for the traditional clay court players who run around backhands and try to defend more than become agressive.

It is a shame they didn't handle the court set up better - they had to know there was going to be more scrutiny because of the color change.

Maybe it was just the microphones on court level, but to me when I heard the servers bouncing the ball in preparation to serve - the sound really seemed like it was an indoor carpet/court.
