It is clear that Federer had quite a streak from 2009 to 2012 of only winning hard court tournaments, same with Nadal and clay court tournaments from 2010 to Present. It is also clear how many times Nadal has been winning clay court court tournaments.

Why are you counting May 2005 for Nadal? Drought insinuates an event hasn't occured again since the first time it took place.

It's weird how Federer only won hardcourt titles after Wimbly 09 for 3 years, then all of a sudden, a clay title comes and then a grass one after that.

Good statto work. Very few grass events these days so a three year gap doesn't mean much, but Fed is looking to pick up another grass court title in July.
