How important is the number of titles that a player wins in a year in the Greatest of All Time Debate? Or how many years that a player led the tour in most titles won in a year?
Federer has had 3 year where he won at least 10 titles in a season. Nadal has had 1 year.
Federer has led the tour in most titles won in a year with 4 year (and a fifth he was co-leader)
Lendl led the tour in most titles won in a year with 5 seasons (and a sixth he was co-leader)
Sampras led the tour in most titles won in a year with 4 seasons (and a fifth he was co-leader)
McEnroe led the tour in most titles won in a year with only 1 year (and 3 year he was co leader)
Nadal will presumably finish 2010 as the leader with the most titles but won win 10 titles.
