TMS clarification

Can someone summarize the different court surfaces used for all the TMS events? I tried to find this information online but didn't have any luck.

TMS Madrid - (indoor/outdoor) (hard/clay/grass/carpet)

Maybe in a format like this?

Also, does TMC move to different venues each year? The rest of the TMS tournaments is stationary, right?

All are outdoor hard except:
Monte Carlo, Rome and Hamburg (all outdoor clay)
Madrid indoor hard
Paris indoor carpet

(Hmm: that seems a few too many outdoor hardcourt TMSes to me. Why not drop one and throw in one on grass instead?)

The Canadian alternates between Montreal and Toronto.

The TMC will move to Shanghai from 2005 for a few years (not sure how many).

No grass courts? I wonder why. Grass courts are probably more expensive to maintain.

Also, no one plays on grass anymore. The only place you'll find grass is at the most posh country club in the state/country/region. Here at Longwood, there are over 20 grass courts, 10-15 clay and 4 hard court. It's stupid.

I believe the atp website lists the surface for all tournaments on the PDF version of the master calendar. It also gives the surface information on each tournament's profile page, click on the word 'tournaments' on the left side of the homepage.

Oddly enough, the atp website is a pretty decent resource when it comes to getting information about men's tennis.
