My current racket is a Head FP Radical Tour. Over all I am very satisfied with it, however, our club pro recommends adding a lead strips along every side the handle (4 total.) He claims that this will make my shots “heavier” and will maintain the head speed. Any comments about this idea? How will it affect my wrist/elbow?
    Thank you in advance :)

When I first hit with my FXP Tour in stock form, it just seemed a little "light" compared to my previous racquets. Volleys also seemed to be "unbalanced" and not as controllable, groundstrokes seemed tinny as if I was hitting with a broomstick. So I experimented by by putting 30gms of fishing lead weights via the handle butt cap, and kept it in place with BluTack. I finally settled on 16gms - groundstrokes are now solid, and volleys have great stability.

However, this is my personal view, and suits my style of play and technique. Try experimenting yourself and make sure any changes are easily reversible.
