To Alcaraz and the "neutral" fans: Do you believe Alcaraz will ever win another non FO slam?

Do you believe Alcaraz will ever win another non FO slam?

  • Yes, because i still see him beating Sinner at Wimbledon and USO

  • No, he wont. Sinner is clearly better on grass and HC

We all know that Sinner fans are biased when it comes to Alcaraz. So when they say Alcaraz is finnish we dont take them serious since they can not be objective. So i am gonna ask Alcaraz and the "neutral" fans this question: do you believe he will ever win another non FO slam? As for me i am really low on him. On HC slams he is not even better than Zverev and can easily lose to someone like Draper and Djokovic. I am not even bringing up Sinner here. On grass he is clearly weaker than Sinner. The only slam i can see him being a top contender at is FO.
Sinner is set to eat his lunch and dominate at Wimbledon for years to come. It will be ugly.
Do not be shocked if after years of beatdowns Carlos ultimately opts to skip Wimbledon and focus on French. It could get that bad.

Alcaraz prefers a faster court IF its high bouncing. It still gives him time to unload as the ball isn't skidding through as it will on grass or at the AO. That's where he really gets caught out
Dude what are you talking about?? Yeah the skidding across the grass is Carlos's issue when he has 4 grass titles including two back to back Wimbledon titles. He has the highest win percentage on grass out of the entire ATP.

Talk about recency bias.

Neutral here.

Will he? No idea? Is he capable? I believe so? Can he be beaten? Sure. Is that the whole point having to play the match in the first place? Yup.

I actually disagree with them there, Carlos has a better shot in Australia than he does this year in Flushing imo.

His mental is completely demolished, Sinner has gotten in his head and the physical toll has built up. His body is in tatters from a grueling summer. Meanwhile he has quietly played like absolute garbage in America since Cincy ‘23 with unforgivable losses to complete randoms like Medvedev and Van de Zandschulp where he heavily underperformed.

I give Jannik a 99.9% chance at USO as a result. However, there may be a slight 2% chance for Carlos in Australia with the benefit of an offseason.
Of course, Medvedev, former US Open champion and two other finals there, is a random like VdZ.
What we have to read, for God's sake!

I haven't seen any Sinner fan being so biased to say Alcaraz is finished, quite the opposite actually, so I'm not sure where you're coming from. Some of us had predicted that Sinner would perform well even on natural surfaces and that's exactly what happened. It was obvious to any non biased viewer. To be honest, so far most Sinner fans have been more right than wrong, given he's dominating and looking ominous for the foreseeable future. As per your original question, I do see Alcaraz winning plenty of slams, on any surface. Sinner won't always be at the top of his game and Alcaraz will improve and be ready.

Alcaraz has already beat Sinner at UsO . He has beat Sinner at FO. Sinner hasn't beaten him at either venue.

Alcaraz has not beat Sinner at W and AO. Basically they are better than each other at 2 of the 4 slams . It's a replica of Nadal and Djokovic.
This is a ridiculous take mate come on. You're basing your opinion on ancient results

Sure, Charlie still holds a 3-2 slam lead in slams!

You have to be naive or cynical to believe that he's not the equal of Sinner! Before Wimbledon, the question was 'When was Sinner ever going to beat Alcaraz again?' Has a Wimbledon changed that much?

3-2 edge in slams held by Carlos??... Not a huge confidence builder when you hear Carlos speak about Sinner as a different level.
Sure Alcaraz will another outside FO. Sinner will have some sort of injury from all that winning and long seasons for the next few years.

Maybe Fritz or Shelton gets over the hump & beats Carlos. Maybe Fonseca improves even faster. Carlos will have competition off clay.
When Fritz or Shelton plays Sinner, it's straight set win for JS.

The recency bias never fails with this site.

Neither played that well in the most recent final. Sinner just played less worse than Carlos. If both are on either could easily take it.

I’m more of a sinner fan, but sinner can still lose and then Alcaraz has it. I see him winning another Wimbledon maybe. Maybe a uso

Sinner 2-0 Alcaraz on grass. Both 4 sets.
One match was 3 years ago. And you are referring to one player? What about all the other players Alcaraz has beaten on grass including ones Sinner has lost to? What about Alcarazs superior number of titles on grass and his superior win percentage? What that matters less than a 2 match head to head between 2 players?

Ok by that notion then Alcaraz is a better hard court player than Jannik because he holds a 5-2 advantage in the hard court H2H between them.

I think Alcaraz is better on north American hard courts. I think Sinner is better on Australasia HCs.

Sinner was ill last year at W. I maintain had be not been ill he would have won also year as well as it happens

Oh boy, Sinner establishes 1-match winning streak against Charlie, and Sinfans do believe that he won't ever lose again!

That match against Grigor was lucky. So lucky his first Wimbledon title should have an asterisk next to it.

who has the H2H on hard courts?

Posters like you said the same before Wimbledon and look what happened? Sinner in non prime years played just one UsO match against Carlos and barely lost in 5, he’s not losing to Carlos in HC slams. Ask Carlos to stop losing to mugs before making it to final lol.

Sinner almost lost to grigor. i think either could win a match on any given day.

Posters like me provide facts.
Posters like you are providing some sort of hypotheticals of one win in 20 months = pure dominance and that Carlos won’t win against Jannik again? I’m not seeing the trend to make that sort of prediction.

Facts are - Carlos has more variety to his game.
Sinner is a pretty elite talent himself.

Are these two going to beat each other over the next few years? Absolutely. The last 5 matches were a bit one sided and Jannik needed to win and did. And he played surprisingly well coming up and closing points at net.

But since Jannik won Wimbledon and finally ended the long losing streak to Carlos , I continue to see threads and posts “is Carlos too young to bury “ or “is Carlos not great on grass” or “Sinner now figured Carlos out he’s going to dominate here on out”.

That’s a bunch of bologna if you ask me.
But what do I know … I’m just one of those guys with facts pops.

Ask Carlos to stop losing to mugs before finals? Didn’t he go on a 3 month win streak recently?
And what mugs are we talking here? This is why some of you obsessed sinner fans are blind too: the rest of the talent on tour that can beat these guys on any day. Sinner and Raz are just above the rest but they will lose to the tier below them here and there.

Hold on boy, Sinner has won 3 out of last 4 slams and barely lost at RG, if that’s not dominance then what it is? You need to cope harder. With Sinner winning USO you will lose all your copes lol. I was talking about HC that you deliberately ignored , is he not losing to mugs like Botic at Hc slams? And to grandpa Djokovic?

He lost to Botic in an upset sure - after coming off the late clay court transition. Sinner lost to medvedev at wimby 2024 who y’all call a mug so …

Sinner won 2/3 slams so far this year but isn’t the conversation of who can stop sinner? H2H still favors Carlos.
Carlos still owns the H2H on hard courts.

Sinner has been the more consistent of the two recent. Coincidence those stamina issues and consistency aligned with two PED failures - I’ll let you be the judge ;)

Two sets up doesn't mean a thing.
It doesn’t. But sad to see a win by walk over down 0-2 in sets with no clear level of outplaying the opposition who retired in the 3rd either.
Can keep up those smart remarks. But at no point did Sinner look comfortable in that match. Score reflected it.

Grigor didn't get anywhere near match point.
Even if Sinner had recovered to win in five sets, it is insane to suggest a 2-0 deficit isn’t “almost losing.” The only time I’d ever question that is if the lost sets were very close and the won sets were bagels and breadsticks (kind of like Djokovic-Musetti at RG 2021).

Sinner won Wimbledon this year and what Did Carlos did after losing to Botic? Lost to grandpa Djokovic at AO. He lost to Z, Meddy , Botic and Djokovic in his last 4 Hc slams , made zero finals.

Anyway, as a Sinner fans we are going to have a blast for years while you will have FO and even that i doubt it lol. As a Sinner hater you will have very very tough time since Sinner will dominate all surfaces and will win 3-4 slams a year ;) all the best boy
