Hi Chris, you played with both . Can you tell me if new Prince Textreme 100T will be close in term of feel with Classic 100 ? I played with Classic OS , I like it, but it was too much for my forehand. I don't know if I should follow my instinct and go with Prince Classic 100 or I should buy the new Textreme 100T and lead it up to 305-310g . To understand what I'm looking for . Now I play with Yonex Vcore XI98 , I like how maneuverable it is, I like the mix of power/control, but it is a little too stiff and I can't get use with the dead feel of the upper hoop mixed wit too muted feel of the entire racket. I want more feel , more comfort and same maneuverability / stability as VCore XI98.

Best regards,
Radu

I'm pretty sure you are in a no lose situation here. Both are great playing racquets and you'll be able to customize either to get it fully dialed in. The Classic 100 is a great deal (stay tuned for some potential further reductions during a limited period later this month) so if you want to stock up on multiple sticks it may be the way to go. The Tour 100P just edges it on comfort for me, but I consider both to be arm-friendly. The response off the stringbed of the Classic is livelier but I find it just as easy to get spin out of the 100P. You'll have to string the 100P lower to get the pop you are used to whereas the Classic will be an easier transition with little tension modification needed from your XI98 set up.

If it were me, I'd go Classic 100. I really like that racquet and used a customized one in a couple of doubles tournaments a couple of years ago. I've not achieved that level of confidence with the 100P, but admittedly haven't hit it as much or played with the specs at all.

Cheers,
Chris, TW.

Yes, I noticed that, but I supposed that Chris does'nt consider Textreme 100T to be comparable with Classic 100. If I assumed this wrong , please Chris to compare also 100T with the Classic. Thanks.

Whoops! Sorry about that.

I would consider the 100P and Classic 100 as more comparable as they both chase that classic feel players like. The 100T is much lighter and whippier. Plus its thicker beam gives it a more modern feel. In stock form I think the 100T is fantastically spin-friendly, comfortable and very fast feeling. It would take quite a bit of customization to bring it up to Classic 100 spec.

Hope that helps,
Cheers, Chris.
