Me and a teammate just got done hitting for a couple of hours down at our university's courts. I have been playing not so well as of late so we decided to just work on groundstroke depth and consistancy today. I was hitting with my trusty bat, the Fischer Pro Tour FT and seemed to be not cleanly hitting quite a few balls. I grabbed one of his Pure Drive +'s just for a minute and sent every ball about 5 feet long. I was about to put it down, but he told me just to become completely relaxed, not try so hard, and make sure I had a controlled and fluid swing with a good follow through. Results: Everyball deep, but in the court with better pace than when I was hitting out with my Fischer, more accuracy, more consistancy. I just felt much better. He started moving me and I was getting to everything and placing it well. All in all, I think the Pure Drive is a good stick and I am going to take it out a couple of more times. If I continue to experience this, I may have found a new stick. To all those who have dissed the Pure Drive line for being "too powerful" and having "not enough control", try just comfortably hitting...it did wonders for me.
