Wow, i'm really stoked to see him playing well.....i was a bit worried with those first 2 losses on the year(though i shouldn't be), but now he's into the 4th rd with what WOULD have been a great match against Hewitt, but instead it will be Chela.

Quarterfinals aren't that far of a reach for Haas... :D

Does everyone now realize that I'm pulling for Haas?... Anyway, the idea of a Federer-Haas quarterfinal match up has me giddy. There would be so much pure talent in that match, and the fact that they're two one-handers makes it all that much sweeter for me. The only thing would be if Haas runs out of gas, but I don't think that will happen because he really seemed to dedicate himself to the game to set up his run to #2. I'm worried about him having the problem that Safin got rid of by getting to the AO finals in that he has to rely on wild cards to get himself into the main draw. I'm thinking that after IW and the Miami he might make it.

well, Haas can use his "protected ranking" (#11) for to enter 9 tournaments.....in tournaments that he does NOT get a wild card too.

He shouldn't have any problems, due to the fact that he is a pretty popular guy on tour, so he'd always get a wild card...but i believe he'll crack back into the top 25 before the year is over with, at least.

I am so happy to see Tommy back in the mix. I love his game and his attitude on the court. I too am anxious for a potential showdown with Federer, but they both have to win their next matches first. Fish will be no pushover, and Chela could be tough when he is on. It was tough to gauge just how good Chela is playing at the moment, because something was obviously wrong with Hewitt today. I would like to see Tommy's repaired shoulder hold up, and allow Tommy to return to the top 5, and potentially win a grand slam. How great would that be?

I can see Tommy winning a US Open, but if he's destined to indeed win one, it's the Australian Open.
