Toni Nadal: Indian Wells match was a moral victory

It was definitely his best match played against Nole in some time. Denying an objective fact like that is kind of sad tbh, little man.

Sure, but it also must be said that the 1st set was definitely Djokovic's worst set played against Nadal in almost 2 years. 20+ UEs had little to do with Nadal.

The result was the same but it was objectively better for moral than a worse performance would have been. He definitely made progress as he definitely played better than he had the last several times they have met.

Meh. I'm not seeing any vast improvements and don't consider Nadal any closer to beating Djokovic. He needs to be able to a take at least a set off Djokovic before I can be positive about his chances.

Well, not in a major. In minors, he sometimes allows opponents the occasional moral point by not unleashing his forehand DTL, because that means that he can take them by moral surprise when he plays it in a major.
Feel like the major keys elude him of late. His specialty has become the discordant minors. While harsh and grating, there is a certain moral purity to sparing us the major presence.
