Toni Nadal: Rafa played with his foot asleep in Wimbledon .....

Please, enough is enough. The majority of players play with all kinds of pains and difficulties.

Many of them have actual serious injuries that prevent them from actually winning tournaments.

And they rarely keep talking and talking about their difficulties and handicaps...

It’s not enough to win 22 slams, he has to be this mythical wounded gladiator too. lol
Don't be salty bud. You are unable to see the fathomless talent that The Nadal possesses. You can't play with your non-dominant hand, have Muller Weiss Syndrome and win slams with numb foot if you aren't that 'talented', not to mention the countless career threatening injuries.

This is like trying to convince people Santa Claus and Tooth Fairy are actually real. But instead of trying to trick children, you're trying to fool the adults.

Even if he doesn't they'll still win.

Steph had the worst game of his finals career in Game 5 (0 threes, awful shooting, 16 points) and they still won by double digits.

I hate Steph with a burning passion, and the Warriors, but the series is over.
May I ask what Curry has done to you to unleash that irrational passion in you?
:happydevil:

There's pain and then there's Nadal level pain. Most succumb to injuries, others hang on like Murray, but defying all the expectations, surviving severe career threatening injuries and massive surgeries, taking numerous 'injections' and compromising his health just for the sake of this sport, here is The Nadal winning his 22nd slam and extending his lead over his arch-rivals, who just have heaps of praise for him and call him their greatest rival. You gotta respect the PASSION bud.

It's high time Toni joins TTW.

Hmm. What Toni said about Wimbledon has been publicly known for over a decade. Rafa says in his autobiography ("Rafa: My Story", 2011):
[Before the 2008 Wimbledon final:] "I went downstairs to a small medical room to have my doctor give me a painkilling injection in the sole of my left foot. I'd had a blister and a swelling around one of the tiny metatarsal bones down there since the third round. That part of the foot had to be put to sleep, otherwise I simply couldn't have played -- the pain would have been too great."

Toni would definitely make a great addition to TTW.
He and Sjdan could square off on neutral ground.

Peak pain-free Rafa could've straight setted poor Rogie, no?

Hmmmm. Which tennis players play with a disability on the main tour?

Will the Nadal camp EVER shut up about this foot thing? So many excuses
Blasphemy!!
I've already outlined a post for Rafa bashers like you bud.

Was Nadal’s foot asleep when he delivered the Gettysburg address? What about when he stood in front of the tank at Tiananmen square? Was it asleep when he crossed the Sahara or when he braved ice and blizzard to scale Mount Everest?

Please tell me, Uncle Toni, for I must know.

No, really, I feel sorry for Rafa's condition and him having to use painkillers so often. Toni saying they were numbing Rafa's foot doesn't equal to him saying Nadal's level in the matches was affected. They just had to numb it for Rafa to play normally.

I’m sure we would be quite happy never to mention it again should others quit claiming that it doesn’t exist. It’s real and it affects his play. Sometimes it doesn’t, like his loss to Carlos in Madrid. When it does, it is quite obvious to anyone with eyes. It wasn’t a factor in RG as he numbed his foot, and won the title. Had he lost against Zverev, the foot wouldn’t have been the reason.
