Toni Nadal: Rafa played with his foot asleep in Wimbledon .....

No, really, I feel sorry for Rafa's condition and him having to use painkillers so often. Toni saying they were numbing Rafa's foot doesn't equal to him saying Nadal's level in the matches was affected. They just had to numb it for Rafa to play normally.
We Nadalfans are happy with 22 slams. I'd rather have him retire rn than suffer anymore. He's already given us non-stop(Wait! there were some but let's ignore 'em for now) entertainment for 15 years.

Nadal is GOAT no doubt. I need the Warriors to win, Steph Curry to score 30+ with 5 threes and then I'm taking that money I win and putting it on Nadal for Wimbledon. Let's gooooo. Low on funds but I found a way

He's definitely not GOAT, Fed is above Nadal for example. But I think Nadal will always be ahead of Djoko even when Djoko hits 25 slams.

I would imagine he has done this quite a bit in his career.

Which is why the people pissing their pants and saying he'd skip the French Open bc of 'foot numbing' ended up being horrendously, embarrassingly wrong.

Congrats to those who saw the truth (y)

Imagine if The Nadal had been fully fit. He could've won 40+ slams easily.

What an absolutely loathsome post from a clearly bitter hater. Bull HAS won several HUNDRED slams, and perhaps several thousand. Moral historians are still working to uncover the exact number, because some of the earlier ones are the subject of debate. For example, did Bull win Roland Garros 1877? Some say no, because he wasn't yet born and because the tournament wasn't even held, but the braver point out that neither of those things ever stopped him at other important events such as Roland Garros 1974 (where he stopped Borg from winning a slam), Wimbledon 1961 (same with Laver), or US Open 1979 (McEnroe was helpless). And don't forget that Bull carried on effortlessly winning CYGSs throughout World War II, as it is clearly cheating to deny him events by not playing them because of a war. It might in fact turn out that Bull's slam count is infinite.

Only someone truly hateful would seek to minimize his accomplishments by saying he could have won 40 slams.

Good lord! What a crime I've committed. Henceforth I've lost the all rights of calling myself a Nadalfan for spouting such blasphemy for the King which is not only morally wrong but also frightfully disgraceful for our entire community. I'm with filled remorse for my iniquities and therefore beg the pardon of the house of Capy Bara and swear that I'll never do it again.

gl mate. one wise advice, put on few more players. looks like hard earned.

LMAO. They’re making retroactive injury claims now:-D:-D

It's a slam that Nadal WON. They don't need to make any claims. And of course, the injection in 2008 was also discussed many years ago actually, but now that Nadal has won 2 more slams than Federer, the cottage industry of desperately trying to find something to sublimate the pain has really taken off on TTW.

Sampras and Graf also had injections when they won Wimbledon. No one cares though because it didn't seem to impact Federer.

May I ask what Curry has done to you to unleash that irrational passion in you?
:happydevil:
Curry is literally the most overrated player I have seen in the last many years. His FIRST excellent Finals game (G4) and people were putting him at the level of Lebron/MJ etc. He's hardly Top15 All time

It's goin well so far fellas

Used to be about the knee. Google “Nadal knee injury,” and see the 1 million+ hits. Seems to have disappeared, no?
Rafa hasn't complained of knee pain for a long time. He said in his interview at the end of 2020 that stopping playing tennis during the covid lockdown was good for his knees (but pain related to the congenital anomaly in his left foot flared up).

The 2nd clip below:

Rafa: "...stopping for so long worked very well for the knees, I have been doing better than I can remember. I can't remember the last time I felt the knees this good. But the foot was destroyed...I went to Barcelona and visited some doctors who performed a series of treatments [on his foot] that helped." (Translated by carla)
