Toni Nadal: Rafa played with his foot asleep in Wimbledon .....

Please, enough is enough. The majority of players play with all kinds of pains and difficulties.

Many of them have actual serious injuries that prevent them from actually winning tournaments.

And they rarely keep talking and talking about their difficulties and handicaps...

Im pretty sure someone has asked Toni about it, and hes just answered.

Theyre not going round telling everyone like youre implying.

You know, famous people do tend to get questioned by journalists?

Hmm. I wonder why Rafa bashers keep talking and talking about his injuries on TTW.

Um, when else has Bull ever lost a point, let alone a set, let alone three sets, and on CLAY moreover?

The Bull just cannot simply lose. It's just not possible. Even in the realm of all possibilities where all things possible, this is still an impossibility. In fact, this is a fact. The only Truth. Forever and Ever. And only the modest Bull fans are able to concur.

Was Nadal’s foot asleep when he delivered the Gettysburg address? What about when he stood in front of the tank at Tiananmen square? Was it asleep when he crossed the Sahara or when he braved ice and blizzard to scale Mount Everest?

Please tell me, Uncle Toni, for I must know.
When
Excuses for WINNING a slam? That's a new one.
LMAO , unf*&^%believable what b$tthurting folks can say :-D

Desperation is driving these guys to make up things!!
Desperation is something similar to what Toni claims"Nadals foot was asleep during 2008 final" after 14 years of what happened on that day when he was at his physical best".

Wait for another excuse lined up for this years wimbledon

What an absolutely loathsome post from a clearly bitter hater. Bull HAS won several HUNDRED slams, and perhaps several thousand. Moral historians are still working to uncover the exact number, because some of the earlier ones are the subject of debate. For example, did Bull win Roland Garros 1877? Some say no, because he wasn't yet born and because the tournament wasn't even held, but the braver point out that neither of those things ever stopped him at other important events such as Roland Garros 1974 (where he stopped Borg from winning a slam), Wimbledon 1961 (same with Laver), or US Open 1979 (McEnroe was helpless). And don't forget that Bull carried on effortlessly winning CYGSs throughout World War II, as it is clearly cheating to deny him events by not playing them because of a war. It might in fact turn out that Bull's slam count is infinite.

Only someone truly hateful would seek to minimize his accomplishments by saying he could have won 40 slams.

Are you willing to write a book on it? I’ll be the first one in line.

2008 Wimbledon final, Nadal won, didn't he??

An excuse for winning?

Desperation is driving some folks to insanity.

Accoding to Toni, Rafa has had more troubles with his knees on grass, due to the orthotics corrections on his feet.
Now, can he get away with less aggressive corrections? More like I hope. :-D

Playing on grass also causes more pain to his knees than playing on other surfaces. The ball bounces lower on grass and forces a player to bend his legs more, placing pressure on the player's knees. Besides, grass surfaces are unstable under feet and that means extra pressure on his vulnerable knees.
Rafa (at his press conference in Cincinnati on 14 August 2013): "...I felt more trouble on grass because the movements are less stable and I need to play lower than on the rest of the surfaces."

You're claiming that it was an excuse...for winning?

That's absurd on its face. And among other things the 2008 numbing was discussed many years ago. People didn't seem to care as Nadal hadn't surpassed Federer in slam totals at the time though.

Of course anyone who has been following tennis for decades should also recall Graf and Sampras not being able to walk and getting injections to win Wimbledon which no one cared about other than to highlight what fighters they were.

Never watched it, thankfully even when I liked Nadal back then.
recalling that day, i put some sum on him on saturday, then on sunday i with my sister should go to the railway station and right after the ticket was bought on the way back one guy with a bit look like nadal came towards me, i thought hmm haha, i didn't watch it too that day, only when in the sports news newscaster said that nadal leading two to zero i was heavily glad to hear that and was thinking come on nadal finish the job, and last moment that day they broadcasted it on another channel in the night, just around 1/4 of match and tbh it was a bit nervous when fed came back but when nadal broke again after 7-7 and my mood skyrocketed lol

Quite funnily, I have absolutely no memory of this match.
