Toni Nadal: Rafa played with his foot asleep in Wimbledon .....

If toni didn't anything opposite then what the thread is all about. Toni did made contradictory statements that Nadal had a numb foot which means he couldn't move it properly like it happened in the 4th set of 2021 RG SFs
Toni just gave the information that it wasn't the first time Rafa's foot was numb. Nothing more. Absolutely nothing more. In the book, Rafa also said that he had pain in his sole, but the injection stopped the pain and allowed him to play completely freely.
These are the hard facts.

Now, from your side :
- you said it was news, that Toni just invented it : you are wrong, it is undisputable
- you said the lie is supposed to create the narrative that Rafa won despite injury, when Rafa himself says he was completely free to play 100% : you are wrong, it is undisputable

Lol He had some tendon problems. And it was published on the day when he won that final in NewYork times.

It wasn't like there was no injury woes expressed by him before or after that final... but 20 years later suddenly he claimed an injury that hampered his chances but he still won.

Nadal neither looked injured nor physically hampered. If anyone who looked slow and out of sorts was Federer in the first two sets. But Federer never made any claims that he had Mononucleosis earlier that year which impacted his performance & That is what Gentlemens do.
I repeat: BBC published the article on 9 July 2020, i.e.17 years after Sampras' retirement.
In that article Sampras and his then coach Annacone tell that during two Wimbledon weeks, Sampras could barely walk between matches. They say that he could play his matches (including the final) only thanks to getting injections to kill the pain. They describe winning the title as a heroic victory.

Hmm. Sampras and Graf retired in 2003 and 1999, respectively, but you still talk about their injuries. Secondly, if they hadn't talked about their injuries, you wouldn't have known they were injured.
Well said!!

If uncle Tony says something about Rafa having pain (not being injured, just having unbearable pain) is a capital sin.

If Sampras or Graf say something about their troubles, it's just fitting, after all they are true champions!!

These guys are pathetic.

Toni was asked if there were other matches where he had played numbing his foot, and he said that, if he recalled correctly, the Wimbledon final in 2008 was one. And that there were others but he couldn't remember where/when.

As others have said, this info was already in his 2011 bio and I'm quite sure I read in in the press as well back then.

Rafa did NOT play with anesthetics on his foot in 2021.

So, Fed did made claims that he had mononucleosis. You said earlier that he didn't make any claims.
By the way, Fed claimed 8 years after losing to Rafa in Miami in 2004 that it happened due to a sunstroke from Indian Wells. So, he has claimed he has lost due to sickness and have also claimed it years later.
Federer was suffering from fever that day and he underwent treatment for that and it was in speculation wether he will play or not in 2004 miami masters

Nadal never claimed any foot discomfort throughout the 2 weeks in the during the 2008 Wimbledon event. 14 years later uncle toni creating as usual creating an injury saga is laughable.

1) My point was that Fed claimed 8 years later that he lost to Rafa in 2004 due to sickness. (You have tried to convince readers that your favourite players don't talk about ther injures/illness years later.)

2) Rafa has a congenital anomaly of a bone in his left foot. It started to cause him pain in 2005, i.e. about 3 years before the 2008 Wimbledon final. This is your own fault that you are under-informed. You should laugh at yourself.

Coming from a LeBron fan lol. I don't think I can think of a faker or twattier guy in sports than him.
He didn’t have a choice. What we see of him now is a top 10% outcome for his background and all the hype/pressure on him. Yeah, is he corny and corporate? Without a doubt. But he’s learned.

Steph is just a spoiled rich kid who’s fake humble and is a front runner.

Nah man, he's not just corny and corporate, he's a hypocrite and a shill plain and simple.
