Bogus reasoning for picking Federer for the serve.

Toni even thinks Karlovic has a better serve than Fed, but says Fed's serve is "good enough" and posits that having Karlovic's serve harms the rest of your game because you aren't going to get another shot.

Imagine a player with a forehand so good that 75% of his FHs don't even come back. Would you not pick his FH because that might "harm the rest of your game"? Nonsense
i'm sure he either meant that being karlovic's height harms your game, or that if you grow up with a serve that huge you might not have to develop the rest of the game as much.

5% of us, if that. But those who have watched since 2015 know it all.

It never fails. :Do_O

95% of those starting the tiresome "Is Murray ATG?" thread wouldn't have a clue who this guy is, with 3 times the accomplishments of Muzz.

Sean Connery was a tennis player? Awesome! LOL!

Federer the only to stand alone twice

What do it tell us?

Serve: Roger Federer
- Volleying: Roger Federer
- Forehand: Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal
- Backhand: Novak Djokovic
- Movement: Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic
- Mental toughness: Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic

Toni makes sure that each of Big 3 appears in 3 criteria. No more, no less.

Roger stands alone in the least important criteria (in modern tennis): volley. Meanwhile, he disappears from the most important: mental toughness.

It tells me that.

:-D

everyone should be like Toni :giggle:
I agree with Toni here, he has also said before that who has the most titles (he meant slams in the context, was clear) will be seen as the best.

He seems rational and fair really.

Agree. Besides his unique coaching techniques, which were very advanced, he is also responsible for a lot of good discussions on tennis and does great interviews letting us in on the strategies and process with great honesty.

The best example of Uncle Toni for me is at 2008 Wimbledon when he was going absolutely crazy with nerves and emotions in the crowd, but also remembered to clap and support Federer's play throughout the entire match.

He's one of the greatest coaches ever and yet just calls himself "a lucky man".

He's a very good guy, and for sure you can see the impact he has had on Rafa.
