WTF???

Some are really paranoid in here. For the record, I don't like Djokovic, he has a boring game.

But now I'll probably be insulted by the Djokovic fans :).
It's really like kindergarten in here...

I totally agree with you, but the problem is the decent posters are too few and the little fanboy kids really run things these days. There are immature fans of all sides - Fed, Nadal, Murray, Djokovic, and others.

Why are you arguing with this guy?

He's a banned Djokotroll. Look at his first post in the thread. He complained about fans arguing with each other and didn't even mention Djokovicfans.

I hope moderators are onto him soon.

Yah good catch CHB, I noticed he used the word "again" a couple of times, that's a dead giveaway too...

I've been here for no longer than a few days, but I noticed already that a lot of the posts and threads in here are about arguments between:

- Some Nadal fans vs. Federer fans
- Some Federer fans vs. Nadal fans
- Some Sampras fans vs. Federer fans
- Some Federer fans vs. Sampras fans
- Some Murray fans vs. Federer fans
- Some Federer fans vs. Murray fans.
- and so on....

Often they insult and accuse each other of trolling.

Seriously, what's the point?

Well, usually things calm down when a Slam or MS starts. With the top two sidelined for so long, chatter turned pretty idle and things got out of hand. Now that Montreal has begun, hopefully people will actually start talking about current matches.

Lets all join hands and sing kumbaya.. shall we. :)

We all have our point of views and favourites. When we feel threatened or insulted..... we put the other guy down. Now... where have I heard this story? I believe its applicable in many different situations. Politics, Religion and unfortunately here as well.

I for one enjoy the harmless sparring..... but not personal insults.

Thats why i only post often around the time its a grandslam. There's simply toomany children on here arguing over which player's better than the other using stupid unprofound reasoning, it is like a school playground.

Poisoning the Well

Poisoning the Well is stock in trade to evade questions or to sabotage a discussion, making it too unpleasant to continue, too far to stoop to dignify an over-the-top post with a response. It is a great trick actually, if repeated, because a person can get blamed for responding to the ogre instead of blaming the actual dreaded source of the unpleasantness. Threads don't get locked because of the dragon...they get locked because of the guy who poked him with a stick or who is known to be willing to take him on.

Habitually and especially consciously poisoning the well is certainly a form of trolling that should be addressed by a moderator, lest it drag the whole group down permanently or set an example for others to follow. It is nice to have freedom and not be harassed by moderators, but the flip side is the board gets pretty coarse, juvenile, and only marginally civil, making one wonder if this is what the owner really wanted to sponsor and support. Somehow being rude has become fashionable and acceptable.
