read an article about how nadal just qualified for YEC. It included the race points for the year so far...
Position

YTD Points
1. N. Djokovic (SRB) 7,695
2. R. Nadal (ESP) 6,390
3. R. Federer (SUI) 3,820
4. D. Ferrer (ESP) 2,965
5. A. Murray (GBR) 2,750
6. R. Soderling (SWE) 1,990
7. N. Almagro (ESP) 1,610
8. T. Berdych (CZE) 1,540
9. J.M. del Potro (ARG) 1,465
10. R. Gasquet (FRA) 1,270
I found this pretty interesting. Delpo is on track to finish the year top 10 (barring injury of course) and Gasquet, while I knew he'd seen a return to form, is out performing a lot of players who've popped up in the top 10 this year, including countryman Monfils who is at #8 in the world right now but not on the list at all.
also the lead Novak has is pretty astounding.
