You know that you're not even close to being correct, right?

TW's highest ranked frame was the Tennis Warehouse Holy Grail, followed by the Dunlop Revelation Tour Pro +1.0, and then a few 85's, including the Volkl Power Bridge 10 Mid, the Wilson [K] Six-One Tour 90, and the Estusa Power Beam Braided.

There were a few 84's, like the Donnay Pro One OS and the BLX90, and a few 83's, like the LM Radical MP, the AG 300 Tour, and the Prince Precision Response Ti MP, and numerous 82's and below.

I think that's a bit harsh. For one, he's talking about racquets which are actually still available. For another, of the racquets you listed, four of them are actually on his list. I know we went over this list recently in another post, but you don't have to come down so hard on him.

Sorry GameSetMatch i didnt notice you already posted the thread, BTW the scoring for the holy grail is just hypotethical i mean basic intuition looking at all those racquets and their scorings with hardly anything reaching above a 100, this is not a video game where you can just create something with that perfect score so i left that out, im not sure even if its real or not.

I put all the data of the racquets in excel on database tables and instead of going by overall score, I actually average the scores of all the attributes (Power, Slice, Comfort...) out and went with the ranking by that. With that being said, here is what i got for average scores:

1. Volkl - Power Bridge 10 Mid
Avg. Score: 83.7

2. Donnay - Pro One OS
Avg. Score - 82.6

3. Wilson - K-Factor Six One Tour 90
Avg. Score - 81.7

4(a). Dunlop Aerogel 4D 300 Tour
Avg. Score - 81.3

4(b). Babolat - Pure Storm Tour
Avg. Score - 81.3

6. Boris Becker - Boris Becker 11
Avg. Score - 80.6

7. Wilson - K Blade
Avg. Score - 79.8

8. Babolat - AeroPro Drive GT
Avg. Score -79.7

9. Head - Liquidmetal Radical Midplus
Avg. Score - 79.5

10(a). Yonex - RQJS 1 Tour
Avg. Score - 79.3

10(b). Prince - Tour Diablo
Avg. Score - 79.3

10(c). Wilson - K Six One 95
Avg. Score - 79.3

It Actually turns out that Donnay Pro One OS by average score is higher than the Tour 90 albeit Donnay's racquet got an overall score of 84 and Wilson K got a score of 85.

BTW I looked at the average score of the Dunlap Revelation Tour Pro and the Estusa Power Beam Braided and i got 78.7 and 77.9 respectively, which doesnt rank in the top 10 anyways. The only list of racquets that i put online were the once that also had Product Description and Demo The Racquet option available, the rest seem to have too low scores for me to keep looking and looking to find one that average scored in the top 10. If you guys find one with high enough score you more than welcome to bring it up

I'd put a file of the excel online to show you the scoring of all the racquets, unfortunately i cant find a way to do it.

I meant to say hardly any of the scores reaches above 90, not 100, sorry for the confusion. If you look at the scores 85,86,87 seems to be the most common highest scores out there which are rare, so based on that i think its basic intuition to assume that holy grail wouldn't actually score 100 even if it was real

I was being sarcastic, which isn't always easy to detect on here. My apologies.

No worries. I've just seen forums where people are harsh to the newbies, and that really makes them a not-fun place to be. I've found TT very helpful, so I want to make sure everyone else feels welcome.

maybe i don't get it.. but why is the APD GT on the list with a score of 82, but the YouTek Prestige MP isn't and it has the same score?

IMO, the frame that really seems out of place is the K90. I guarantee you that if Federer was not using it, the stick wouldn't be anywhere near that list. It's a very specific frame in that you need to have the game that the racquet is designed to complement. Very few people do because it was made for a specific playing style. All of the other sticks on there are far more versatile and far more deserving of any top 10 rating.

I wouldn't go as far to say it is meaningless but at the end of the day it still depends on your style of play and choice of strings.

When cross comparing the scores from different reviews then they are meaningless.

In their reviews the play-tester's have no base or control for rating a racquet from 0-100 in any category. The closest thing is the individuals play-tester's current racquet; and unless we know (and we don't) what they would rate their own racquet from 0-100. The only excpetion being when a reviewer reviews their own racquet.

We also know from the ratings that the play testers have a preference for flat, heavy, small headed player frames, which is why I thought the APD was out of place in the rating system. Some Nadal fans in among the play-testers, maybe?

Any chance we can get updated version of this list, or is there a rankings chart on the site somewhere where we can view the ratings?

Highest I've seen in recent times is the Extreme Pro 2.0 and the Aero Drive GT both came in at 88 overall, but would like to know of other frames rated above 84-85 by the TW test team!

For the list to valid, the play tester would have had to been the same for each review. It is indeed a fun and nice starting point for a thread... other than that useless.
