i am going to have to say that the "1" means that only 1 player in the top 100 is using that racket...for example the "28" for head means 28 men in the atp are using a head racket

The link you provide has Guccione at #92. Dancevic is not listed in the top 100. Based on his run to the finals this week I think Dancevic will rise into the top 100 when the new rankings are announced Monday.

when i click the link, it has dancevic at 92. just go to atptennis.com and check out the top 100.

Whether I click on your link or go direct to atp.com it still has Guccione at #92. No matter though, as I said he will be in the top 100 when the new rankings are posted Monday.

well in that case i can see the future as dancevic is/will be 92 and guccione 90.

I'm not saying you're wrong but the OP is probably seeing the same list as I am which is why he did not include Dancevic. I'm sure he'll amend it tomorrow

i heard players only break even when they reach top 150 in ranking...

sad case...

i dont think its that extreme. one of the guys ive hit with is a touring pro, pablo pires de almeida, and he said that players in the top 200 are getting by(barely) but outside the top 200 you are basically losing money.

The notion that the list is ONLY about who spends the most money sponsoring pros seems shortsighted. Companies acquire the money to sponsor pros when they sell lots of product, which just may have something to do with how desirable a product they offer. The guy who poured rubber into his waffle iron to make the first sole for a Nike running shoe created something people liked. It wasn't Nike sponsorships that made the company in the first place, it was offering a product people gravitated to.

Bogie,
are you from Marin or the Bay Area? I know Pablo too. I work in the store that strings his rackets?
