Top-Ranked NextGen ATP Doubles Players Watch

And NextGen Tunisian Mansouri moves up to NCH ATP #58 by winning Brest challenger with Colombian oldster Barrientos, who will pair for the first time this week with Cash in Bratislava.

I watched machac's singles highlight. That kid can play the net. He carried Zhang to the AO semis this year. What's puzzling is that he's not a big guy. He's going to be a great dubs player.

Purcell edged Patten in Paris to enjoy some paypack for the Wimbledon bank robbery.

Next week in Turin, the 3 top NextGen doubles players will be represented. Will the last tourney of the year determine supremacy?

First update of 2025:

Moving up the list:

Andrea Vavassori slides up to match his career high #6.

Julian Cash wins Brisbane 250 to reach NCH ATP #30.

Skander Mansouri keeps trading up partners, now with 7x slam champ Dodig, advances today in Adelaide to reach NCH #54.

And Theo Arribage advances today in Adelaide and enters the list at NCH #63.

List updated. Lots of movement with last year’s AO points dropping out today.

List in the op updated.

For the first time, Henry Patten is now the top-ranked NextGenner, leapfrogging idle Purcell and points-defending Vavassori. But his stay at the top of the list will be short-lived unless he can defend his spot later today for a spot in the AO final.

He enters his semi as an underdog against #4 seed Krawietz/Puetz, while #3 seed Vavassori/Bolelli will be big favorites against unseeded Goransson/Verbeek.

List updated.

The H2H stands at 1-1. Here comes the rubber.

There will be a heavyweight battle for NextGen supremacy on RLA this weekend.

For the time being, there seems to be a clear top 3 under-30 guys, with a bit of a gap after that. The remainder of the slam season will shake out how these top guys finish.

I think we're going to see a changing of the guard in the next couple of years. Most of the old guard are ready to retire. There is some young blood starting to show up and contest titles (Harrison/King, for example).

List updated. Cash and Zielinski have been dueling this season for the 4th slot on the list. By advancing to the Doha SF, Cash leapfrogs Zielinski again and ties his career high #22.

For the first time since starting the watch a year ago, there are now 4 NextGenners in the ATP Top 20.

Julian Cash enters the top 20 with his second 500 title in Doha.

I watched the first break of serve and the last in the first set. Cash hit 3 return winners in those two breaks.

List updated. Not much shifting, but the 15th slot on the 15-under-30 list is now up to ATP 58, the highest since starting this thread. This may signal the start of a changing of the guard?

List updated. Some movement on this list!

3 new faces join the Top 15 Under-30.

Guinard, Schnaitter, and Wallner

And the 15th slot now climbs to ATP #56, highest since starting the watch.

List updated, entering the home stretch of the red dirt season:

With Vava aging out of the under-30 list, Brit Julian Cash moves into the #3 slot on the list at career high atp #15.

Frenchman Theo Arribage, still alive in Rome, moves into the #10 spot on the list and into the atp Top 50.
