So what is the next tennis game to come out and when will it be coming out? The roster isn't too bad for me as I can play with my favorite Nadal and Monfils and Borg.

The exec's at sony and other major video game companies aren't generous enough to do that. It's a shame, really. A lot of people don't want all of the new features, they just want the games!!!!

I just don't get how Nadal can be only in the PS3 version. I get the licensing part, but if they can get him to be in one video game console, I don't see how they can't put him in the other consoles' versions.
He's number two in the world and has won three French Opens in a row...and the only player in this game who's only available for one console.

Looks real, the graphics look pretty good. Can't wait to see a better preview and a newer one. The video here makes it look choppy.

I hope they have Doubles modes and possibly a doubles world tour or doubles tournaments on the world tour including the grand slams and masters. Davis cup/fed cup would be nice too.

Anyone know what racquets and stuff you can get your custom players sponsored with. Apparently you can get the fxp prestige and not the microgel because thats what monfils is playing with so probably no kblades either

Graphics look good, gameplay looks alright, roster is horrible, grunts are pretty bad. I'll definitely get it though.
I noticed in the gameplay video that one of the guys was standing like 3-4 feet inside the baseline (no man's land) and still getting everything back. This would never be possible on the tour :|
Grunts are very unrealistic, but I guess that's a good thing for Sharapova. Although I'd still rather have it legit.

but monfils isn't even using a pj'd MG prestige in tournaments so maybe you can still get one.

Well, then, whats 2k sports do for their baseball games, and baseketball games? I mean, these sports do have much larger rosters than just 20 tennis players. =P

Oh, smash court tennis: pro tournament 2 was amazing and I still own it for ps2. played it like last month. So much variety in shots: topspin, slice, flat, lob, kick serves, everything.
It just needed like a professional realistic world tour. I mean the realism was there, but I mean like your agent and sponsorships an dceremonies that are made for championships and hall of fame. Great game though.

Topspin 3 is the only reason i am not selling my xbox 360. Supposed to come out in May 2008. I hope it isn't anything like Topspin 2 (which was really bad) and more like topspin 1, which is a classic and still the best tennis game.

Top Spin 3 delayed until June 24. They are working on tweaking the player animations...

On IGN it still says TBA 2008. But it said that when the game was announced. Now the game is out in Japan, but still no US release date.

I was all set for Topspin 3 to release in the US on May 19th and now notice is's pushed back to June 23rd.

Smash Court Tennis 3 was announced today for North America. It will release Aug. 2008.

I don't think Top Spin 3 will be as good as VT3. From watching a few gameplay videos on You Tube the player animations look very mechanical and unrealistic. With VT3 the player animations are more realistic with the same swing motion of each pro while in TS3 the swing animations of each player such as their forehand all look the same.

Did you play VT3? It was horrible. The players moved way too quickly. It was absurd. I didn't like it at all and I used to like Virtua Tennis.

So very true. I hated how they constantly did that in the original Topspin. No one can dive, get up and chase the ball, and hit a crosscourt or down the line passing shot.

vt3 is great, esp. with the accurate player animations. when you play the best people online, there is no diving because everyone knows how to anticipate and time the ball. the only lame things about vt3 are the stupidly effective slow ass slice serve and the fact that the player attributes are so ridiculous. apparently hewitt is the fastest player on earth and has ultra powerful groundstrokes, federer does everything mediocre, henman had the groundstrokes of a 10 yo girl, and ferrero "the mosquito" moves as slow as molasses but can hit forehands twice as hard as anyone else .
