Topspin Cyber Blue?

I was looking at another website and came across Topspin Cyber Blue... Is this is the same as Cyber Power? Also, I think I am going to try a Cyber Power/PSGD setup in my Hybrid Sharks. I usually string my multis/synthetic guts around 57 pounds. What should I string the new combo at?

yes, im about 99% sure this is the same string as cyber power.. i think the manufacturer changed the name of the string from cyber power to cyber blue..
they should be the same exact string.. can any1 confirm this??

If I am a first time co-poly user, and usually string my synethetics/multis around 57 pounds, what should I string the Cyber Power/PSGD hybrid at?

Josh . . .

I start all my poly customers, at the bottom of the tension range, for the racquet. If they are doing a hybrid, I add 5 lbs, for a synthetic gut.

If you are using the OS Shark go 55/60; if you are using the MP Shark go 53/58.

Yeah, I emailed Topspin about it and they confirmed Topspin Cyber Power = Topspin Cyber Blue. Well I hope their intent and what they wrote are the same, they wrote back in pretty funky English.

weh ad to change the Name!! It´s the same string.

Quick reponse. :D

Just placed the order for the Topspin Cyber Power/Prince Synthetic Gut with Duraflex Black :). Does everyone agree I should string the Cyber Power at 55 and the PSGD 60 if I normally string my multi's/synthetics around 56-57? Do you think this hybrid will last me, tension wise, a couple months possibly till mid-August?

DizBoiDanny:

With any poly with poly combination you are going to have to use your own judgement. I'm sure most people on this board don't see a point in mixing two poly's to get a hybrid "feel". But if you want the color combo, you won't feel much of a difference in the strings feel.

have anyone tired the topspin cyber blue with topspin cyber flash?

I actually gave this a shot for a while. I used the CB in the mains and CF in the crosses. I actually plays pretty nice. I didn't see any really benefit with it however over using my normal Pro Supex Spiral flex or Nat. gut cross.

So, what's the latest in Cyber Blue land? Can any one help with me with my post above?

nickarnold2000 - hey man...didn't see your post. anyway i had to bump up the tension 1 lb with respect to my regular multi tension and that's with syn gut crosses.

btw - i normally use low powered strings so depends on what you are used to. you may want to go up 2 lbs even if you hybrid. maybe try a 2 lb main/cross differential. mains at say 55 with crosses at 57...u get my drift? wow that's an old expression. :)

Groovy man! I got it! Hey, a quick question - why do you string the crosses higher than the mains? I always thought that since the crosses are shorter and mains longer, the mains should be strung a little higher to compensate for their tendancy to lose more tension thus resulting in an even tensioned string bed(wow, I actually wrote "thus")! :)

i've tried and use the JC method which strings the mains at 2 lbs less and crosses at 2 lbs more than target tension. say u want 55 then mains go to 53 and crosses to 57. imo - it makes the stringbed more consistent. there's a detailed explanation at stringforum dot net.

since CB is higher powered, i bump mains up by 1 and drop the crosses 1 lb. it's not exactly what i like but works for those wanting a higher tension. anyway keep on trucking. :)
