Kinda the same for all brands' poly portfolios.I feel that Toroline needs to focus in a bit on the benefits of each string. Lots of them seem similar and hard to tell the difference without actually playing them.
Kinda. But Solinco for example is pretty well segmented/defined. Even Luxilon is better at itKinda the same for all brands' poly portfolios.
Agreed. They need a table comparing their own strings and what are they best forKinda. But Solinco for example is pretty well segmented/defined. Even Luxilon is better at it
Yeah. But Toroline's range is still pretty small and I think their audience is a lot of people like this forum who like experimenting, testing, etc. and it's nice to know what type of string works best for what situation.Kinda the same for all brands' poly portfolios.
I agree. It feels like they're pumping options out to see what sticks and then they'll drop product lines and distinguish others as they go. The idea of the 'Omakase' service is interesting, but TBH I hate the idea of someone picking strings for me and I feel like most players I know aren't for it.Yeah. But Toroline's range is still pretty small and I think their audience is a lot of people like this forum who like experimenting, testing, etc. and it's nice to know what type of string works best for what situation.
I have a feeling they will get there though. Their new 'Omakase' service, where you fill out a quiz and they send you strings, asks for whether you like spin, power, control, durability, feel... etc. So they are thinking about it internally, just need to add more public details about what each string and combo is best for. But it's still a pretty small company by the looks of things, so I imagine they're busy on other things than updating the website!
The difference between Toroline strings and the others is the slick coating doesn't wear off, but other strings coating wears off after 2-4 hours.Wasabi x isn’t all that slick in my opinion. Yonex strings are way more slick. Wilson revolve as well.
For me wasabi x seems like it doesn’t even have a slick coating. It’s not matte by any means but it’s similar to a string like kirschbaum pro line x. It’s shiny but not slick. If you do your own stringing it’s pretty apparent. The difference between Toroline strings and the others is the slick coating doesn't wear off, but other strings coating wears off after 2-4 hours.
I used to use PTP and PT Fire as cross for my hybrids, but now any toroline strings coating lasts longer than them.
Not talking about other characteristics and the feel since they are highly personal, but the long-lasting coating is the best, Restring Zero is also good in that department.
Yeah, I string my own racquets. For me wasabi x seems like it doesn’t even have a slick coating. It’s not matte by any means but it’s similar to a string like kirschbaum pro line x. It’s shiny but not slick. If you do your own stringing it’s pretty apparent.

I ordered some strings directly from Toroline to be delivered to Germany. I had to pay shipping costs (around 17 €) and an additional tax amount (18 €) directly to the DHL delivery person. I didn't expect that, so it wasn't worth it.Guys how to buy Toroline strings from europe?I see it ship to my country but pretty expensive shipping 17 eur. Do they ship everything from USA?Do i have to pay import taxes also?
I have a mini reel and have strung about 4 sticks with it so far.Yeah, I string my own racquets.
Have you used it? Or you’re just assuming from the look?
I'm on my second reel.I have a mini reel and have strung about 4 sticks with it so far.
Then why is it supposed to be a great cross string for tons of snapback? It definitely does not have a slick coating.
Just checked torolines site it says Wasabi X features a round profile coated with a slick surface for maximum snapback and spin.It definitely does not have a slick coating.

Yes. So far I prefer poly tour pro over wasabi x.I'm on my second reel.
Based on your experience, Yonex strings as a cross lasted longer than Wasabi X?
If your preference is based on feel, I agree. I did a comparison test with my Ezone 98. I usually strung it with PT Strike in the main and PTP Yellow cross, but after 4 hours, it started moving out of place and I saw the 'dent' on the strings. If I move the main, it won't return to the same place. Then I tried this setup with Wasabi X as a cross. After 10 hours, the mains are still moving back, The tension did drop a bit, but the snapback was still really good.Yes. So far I prefer poly tour pro over wasabi x.
Hype or in a good way ?Toroline is so bad
As med would say :Toroline is good, but not one of those polys made to be strung low tension (40’s).
It’s lively enough, pockets, grabs enough depending on the string model.
I love their round poly in the gut/poly…more than Alu Power.
Karue - "62 lb"Anyone have tension recommendations for K POP/PRO? I’m reaching the end of my tour sniper reel which I string at 45-46 on my Percept 97D. I bought a set of K POP and PRO to try, but I see most people on this thread stringing theirs in the 50s. Not sure if that will be too harsh of a change for me tension wise.
His elbow is built differentKarue - "62 lb"
I do 54-55 on P97... you can probably get away we 50-52 on the P97DHis elbow is built different
His elbow is built different
Forget yo elbow it's all about control dawwwggHis elbow is built different
Prefer it more than tour hex/X?4 more hours and I've fallen in love with this combo again. Tension remains the same after the initial drop. Snapback is like new. Tried a caviar combo and it was a tiny bit too boardy. Went back to the snapper/X and the pocketing is pretty addicting if you like that feeling. Reached out to toroline and they will have reels available hopefully next month
I haven't tried a full bed of snapper yet, but I'm a fan of slick round polys in crosses.@FrankyRelax how does X cross improve snapper?
Don't know if this is relevant, but I've been trying out Super Toro crossed with MSV Swift 1.25 and have been really enjoying it. Like it better than Super Toro full bed.Since Toro Toro is a stiff string, has anyone crossed it with something like HIT Pro?
Interesting! I just strung up my Percept 97 with Wasabi and MSV Swift 1.25. I didn’t like wasabi in full bed so I order some wasabi X but it’s taking forever to get here to me in Europe. So I thought f**k it, let’s try it with Swift.Don't know if this is relevant, but I've been trying out Super Toro crossed with MSV Swift 1.25 and have been really enjoying it. Keeps the precision but softens up the stringbed nicely while still playing pretty crisp and controlled.
I’ve tried Toro Toro with Enso Pro as well and they play really well today. While Enso Pro is not exactly soft, it does soften up the stringbed slightly compared to full Toro ToroDon't know if this is relevant, but I've been trying out Super Toro crossed with MSV Swift 1.25 and have been really enjoying it. Right now I am enjoying Super toro with Enso Pro. It does exactly as you describe perfectly. Id like to try Toro Toro full bed to see if it has the same response as my hybrid. (though I like the blue/pink combo).I’ve tried Toro Toro with Enso Pro as well and they play really well today. I actually tried Super Toro crossed with Wasabi X, but prefer the feel with Swift. Swift doesn't provide as much snapback, but to me it just felt like it had a more crisp response.Interesting! Stringing it up today or tomorrow.Anyone try a full bed of snapper yet? My set comes this week and I am not sure if I want to try snapper first or K pop/pro

Good to know. And Wasabi with Swift is a winner!I actually tried Super Toro crossed with Wasabi X, but prefer the feel with Swift. Swift doesn't provide as much snapback, but to me it just felt like it had a more crisp response.
Happy to hear these things since I have a reel of Swift lying around, and now I can use it paired with Toro and Wasabi!Good to know. And Wasabi with Swift is a winner!
As an aside, I know I’m not the first person the say this but this whole focus on maximizing snap back is perhaps misguided and overrated. Yes, I want my mains to snap back but does having them snap back a millisecond faster or whatever provide any real benefit perhaps at the cost of other string attributes, say like ball bite, feel, comfort, etc? So long as my mains in fact snap back I’m happy and move on.I actually tried Super Toro crossed with Wasabi X, but prefer the feel with Swift. Swift doesn't provide as much snapback, but to me it just felt like it had a more crisp response.
